Frequently Asked Questions
Now that you know some of my favorite easy dip recipes, here are some questions people often ask about making dips at home. If you have another question that isn’t answered here, please leave it in the comments, and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
How many types of dips are there?
There are probably thousands of different types of dips you could make. I shared 18 easy dip recipes above. I hope you enjoy them and find a few new go-to’s for snacks or parties.
What dip is good with crackers?
Since crackers are thin and break easily, use softer dips with them. A yogurt-based dip or melted cheese dip will be the best with crackers.
What goes with dip?
This depends on what type of dip you are serving. If it is a sweet dip, serve it with fruit or sweet bread. If it’s a salty or savory dip, serve it with crusty bread or crackers. Raw veggies are fantastic for salty or savory dips too.
Amazing stuff, right!? I just love dippable food. I could make a meal of it – how about you? Either way, I hope you picked up a few new delicious and easy dip recipes. Which one are you going to try first? Happy Cooking!

Hi Michael! I truly love your emails! I will admit, I don’t read them as soon as they come in, I tend to save them and binge-read them all at once! I’m loving the dip recipes in this issue! I want to pass on a favorite of mine. I serve it at baby showers and the like because it’s so SIMPLE! You take strawberries and arrange them of course on a pretty platter. Have a small pretty bowl of sour cream and another small bowl of brown sugar. Dip the strawberry in the sour cream then the brown sugar. Sounds gross but it’s the most Devine, decadent, convenient and inexpensive treat! Looks pretty too! Of course, light sour cream or vegan sour cream can be used so it’s really quite diverse for most diets! Just wanted to share! Keep doing what you do and bringing charm, sophistication and joy to all of us!
That sounds fabulous! Thank you so much for sharing! I’ll give that a try!
I love, love, love your posts!!! Do you have a cookbook? You’re so talented. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I read your GameDay Dips Post and as usual am too inspired! So first of all, although it will be a small m.s.d. (masked, socially distanced) gathering, for my contribution, I’m making the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts you posted during the Holidays. I think I’ve made them every weekend since you first shared the recipe, lol! And the corn dip is beyond awesome also. Enjoy your GameDay! Stay healthy and safe everyone.
Sorry, but I will not be much help here, because I’ve made two of these dips, and they were mouthwatering. However, I can’t choose which of these dips you posted is my favorite. The other dips that I have not yet made looks just as mouthwatering. I do plan to find out. Happy 2021
They are definitely saying “eat me now!!!”.
