My 2026 Holiday Art Collection is almost here, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!!

This is my third annual holiday collection, and if I do say so myself, I think it’s my best one yet! What’s especially exciting about this year’s collection is that I’ve created all-new designs!

I’ve been spending SO much time in the studio these past few months, and today I finally get to show you what I’ve been working on! I’m sharing all of this year’s designs, the different sizes and styles available, and, most importantly, the full release schedule so you know exactly when everything will be available.

The first day of the sale is Wednesday, November 18th, so mark your calendars! I’ll be releasing the collection in two parts over several days. I’ve included the full schedule below, but first, let’s take a look at the artwork!

Sweet and Shiny

Sweet and shiny! That’s the inspiration behind two of my newest designs for this year’s Holiday Collection!

Funny enough, I didn’t start with a theme. It sort of found me along the way, somewhere between the peppermint swirls and the colorful, vintage-inspired glass ornaments. And I couldn’t love it more!

One of the things that makes this year’s collection so special to me is that these are my own original designs. I started with a handful of ideas and let my imagination take over. It involved lots of experimenting, playing with colors, and trying different things to discover what worked. How could I capture the swirl of a peppermint or the twist of its little wrapper? What shapes and colorful stripes would give my ornaments that wonderful vintage charm? It was a process of trying, learning, and figuring things out as I went. And oh, what fun I had!

There’s something especially meaningful about bringing an idea from my imagination to life as I continue finding my way as an artist and discovering my own creative voice. When I take what I’ve always loved about Christmas, sprinkle in a little nostalgia, a whole lot of color, and a bit of whimsy, these art pieces become something entirely my own. It feels like a little Christmas magic.

These paintings make me so happy, and I’ve been practically bursting to share them with you. I hope they bring a little of that same joy and magic to your holiday season!

Something Sweet: Peppermints

If you’ve been following Inspired by Charm for a while, you probably know I have a soft spot for peppermint at Christmastime. I’ve shared so many peppermint recipes over the years, and somewhere along the way, those familiar red-and-white swirls became part of what makes the season feel like Christmas to me.

But beyond the flavor, I’ve always loved the look of those classic little candies. There’s something so nostalgic about them: a little whimsical, a little old-fashioned, and just plain happy!

Peppermint: 4×4-inch Hanging

That’s exactly the feeling I wanted to capture with these paintings. I had so much fun playing with color, pattern, and texture, giving something so familiar a fresh and playful twist of my own.

I think there’s something wonderful about holding onto that childlike joy of Christmas, when even the simplest things can feel a little magical. And that’s what these peppermints are all about. They’re bright, cheerful, and made to bring a smile. Sometimes that’s all the reason you need!

Peppermint: 4×4-inch Shelf Sitter

Let’s go over what sizes and styles are available.

Sizes and Specifications:

  • Hanging: These are painted on 4 x 4-inch canvases that are ¾-inch thick. Each is finished with a red gingham ribbon for hanging.
  • Shelf Sitters: These measure 4 x 4 inches on a thicker, 1½-inch-deep canvas. Perfect for displaying on a shelf, mantel, or tucked into a holiday vignette. They also have a hook on the back for hanging.
  • Large: These are a larger version of the shelf sitters, measuring 6 x 6 inches on a 1½-inch-deep canvas. They also have a hook on the back for hanging.

Something Shiny: Ornaments

I’ve had a love affair with vintage glass Christmas ornaments for as long as I can remember, especially those beautiful finial-shaped ones.

In fact, I remember having ornaments like these on the very first Christmas tree that I decorated on my own, and I don’t think I’ve had a tree without them since! After decorating more than 30 different Christmas trees for Inspired By Charm over the years, I still get that little spark of excitement when I find a beautiful old glass ornament to add to my collection.

Something about their delicate shapes, the way they catch the twinkle of Christmas lights, and the memories of Christmases gone by that makes them so special to me.

So when I started dreaming up new designs for this year’s collection, these felt especially close to my heart. I wanted to capture a little of that vintage Christmas magic, but give it a fresh, colorful twist that feels like me.

Each painting is a little different, with its own colors, patterns, and personality, just like the ornaments I’ve collected over the years. I love imagining these paintings becoming part of someone else’s Christmas traditions, where they’re looking forward to unwrapping them each year and bringing a little familiar joy to the season.

Like the Peppermints, these come in three different styles. They’re just a bit larger to accommodate the ornament shapes.

Little Joys: Minis

And if that wasn’t enough, I’m also releasing my Minis as part of this year’s Holiday Collection!

Back in January, I gave myself a little challenge: create 100 miniature paintings before the year was through. I wasn’t entirely sure I’d make it, but here we are, more than 110 paintings later (and maybe a few more to come!).

What began as a collection of flowers slowly blossomed into birds, boats, and even a few festive surprises to finish out the year. I’ve loved watching this little collection grow, one tiny painting at a time.

There’s something so charming about their size, the rich colors, and those thick, buttery brushstrokes of oil paint. Each one is a little different, with its own personality and a story told in just a few strokes of the brush.

More than anything, this project was about the simple joy of creating, following my imagination, and enjoying the journey along the way. These little paintings became such a special part of my year, and now I couldn’t be happier to send them out into the world, where I hope they’ll bring a little color, charm, and happiness to someone else’s home.

Let’s review the sizes. These are minis, so think the size of a playing card or a baseball card.

Sizes and Specifications:

  • Each is an original oil painting measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches or 3 x 3 inches. They are painted on a ¾-inch-thick wood block.
  • Perfect for displaying on a shelf, mantel, or tucked into a favorite little spot. Each also has a small hole on the back for hanging on a nail.
  • Please note: The holiday designs in this collection will be released during Part Two of the sale in December.

Holiday Collection Release Schedule

Now, let’s talk about when you can shop!

Each year, I try something a little different when it comes to releasing my holiday collections. I know there’s no perfect way that works for everyone, but I’m hoping this year’s approach makes things a little easier.

Instead of releasing everything at once, I’ve divided the collection into two parts, with a separate launch day for each type of artwork. All styles (hanging, shelf sitters, and larger pieces) will be in each part of the release.

Each launch will happen at the same time (2pm ET), so there’s no guessing or trying to remember different hours. I’ve also spread the releases across different days to give everyone several opportunities to shop. As a reminder the sale is held in my shop at michaelwurmjr.com.

And here’s the really good news! I’ve made more artwork for this year’s collection than ever before, so I’m hopeful that everyone who wants something will have a chance to find a piece they love.

Here’s the full schedule!

Everything will go live at 2:00 PM Eastern Time on each scheduled release day.

PART ONE

  • Wednesday, November 18: Peppermints
  • Friday, November 20: Ornaments
  • Monday, November 23: Minis

PART TWO

  • Tuesday, December 1: Peppermints
  • Thursday, December 3: Ornaments
  • Monday, December 7: Minis (including the holiday designs!)

Important Notes

All artwork will be available for purchase at michaelwurmjr.com, not here on Inspired by Charm.

Adding an item to your cart does not guarantee it’s yours. The only way to secure a painting is to complete the checkout process. I want to emphasize this because I know it’s caused some disappointment in the past. Until you’ve completed your purchase, the artwork is still available to other shoppers.

If you spot something you love, I recommend checking out right away, then coming back to browse some more. Shipping is free, so you won’t pay anything extra if you place multiple orders. I’ll do my best to package everything together, too!

All orders ship via USPS. International shipping is also available for an additional $25 on small artwork.

No Brass Bottle Brush Trees This Year?

If you’ve been following my holiday collections for the past couple of years, you might remember my little bottle brush tree oil paintings in brass and glass frames. I know these have been a favorite, so I wanted to give you a quick update!

While I don’t have any finished at the moment, I’m still hopeful I’ll have a small number available sometime in December.

You’d think I’d have this all figured out by now, but I’m still experimenting! I have some new frames, a few new ideas, and lots of things I’d like to try. I just need a little more time. (Story of my life!)

Hopefully, I’ll have more to share soon. I’ll be sure to keep you updated!

What About Other Artwork?

I’m so glad you asked!

In addition to the holiday collection, I have a few other paintings that I’ll be adding to the shop. I’m also hoping to create a handful of larger holiday pieces.

I haven’t quite decided whether those will have a specific release date or if I’ll add them to the shop as they’re finished. I’ll share more details when I know!

And, somewhat randomly, I still have a couple of my deer paintings from last year’s collection. I’ll be adding those to the shop at some point, too!

A Quick Note About Pricing

I’m still finalizing prices, but I plan to keep things fairly similar to last year.

There’s likely to be a few small adjustments to account for the rising costs of supplies, shipping, and packaging, but I’m doing my best to keep everything as similar as last year.

One Last Thing…

One other important note! I’ll be temporarily closing my online shop on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 4th to prepare for the holiday launches. So, if there’s anything currently available that you’ve had your eye on, now would be a good time to grab it!

And I think that covers just about everything!

I really, really hope you love this collection as much as I do. It has been an absolute joy to create, and if there were more hours in the day, I think I’d happily keep making hundreds more! There were plenty of 12-hour days in the studio, and somehow, I still didn’t want to stop!

I’ve loved every minute of dreaming up these designs, experimenting with colors, and watching this collection come together. What started as a few ideas has become something much bigger than I originally imagined.

Sweet, shiny, and full of little joys.

Devoting more time to my art practice this year has been such a gift. Sharing these paintings with you, and knowing that some will become part of your homes and holiday traditions, means more to me than I could ever put into words.

Thank you for being here, for cheering me on, and for making it possible for me to keep doing something I love so much.

I can’t wait for you to see everything!

Happy Holidays!
