When I think of autumn, apples (and delicious apple recipes) are one of the wonderful things that come to mind. I love the color and beauty of the different varieties and the many delicious things you can make from this unassuming fruit.

This is one of my favorite one-pan meals. The combination of pasta with chicken apple sausage, Granny Smith apple, tomatoes with chiles, onion, Monterey Jack cheese, and more make this a craveable dish for fall (or any time of the year).

Apple Celeriac Soup
I’m confident you’ll agree this savory soup tastes as good as it looks. I first experienced it when I was in Ireland a couple of years ago and couldn’t wait to recreate it at home. The unusual presentation was inspired by a Thai soup that I also had in Ireland.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Apples
I’m a huge fan of Brussels Sprouts. But I enjoy them, even more, when they’re roasted with apples, dried cranberries, and pecans and then drizzled with red-wine vinaigrette. (You will thank me for this recipe!)

Apple Pie Moonshine
I got this recipe from my sister-in-law, Missy. To make it, you combine apple cider, grain alcohol, vodka, sugar, and spices. Not surprisingly, it packs a punch! I like to gift a pint or two to family members and friends.
