Christmas is a magical season. It looks and feels even more magical in the evening when all the lights and candles are aglow. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome you back into my home for a look at my Christmas Nights at Bayberry House.

A couple of years ago I did a Christmas Nights Tour here on Inspired by Charm. It’s such a fun tour as the images, being photographed at night, are illumined with the glow and magic of the Christmas season. This tour is especially exciting as I’m being joined by many of my blogger friends. This tour is hosted by Rachel of Maison de Pax who is the first house on the tour. If you’re stopping over from her home, welcome! If this happens to be your first stop on the tour, no worries, I’ve included links to all of the stunning homes at the end of this post.

For this particular post, I’d like to do things a little differently. Typically, when I share a tour, I narrate my styling, explain every detail, share links, etc. However, something about this post begs me to be quiet thus allowing you to enjoy all that is calm and all that is bright.

Over the past month I’ve shared dozens of posts filled with holiday decor ideas and inspiration. As you scroll through the photos below, I will be sure to include links to those particular blog posts. This will be helpful in case you’re looking for information and sources or if you just want a closer look at my holiday decor with the lights on! – You can click through for all of that information.

With all of that being said, welcome to Christmas Nights at Bayberry House. Enjoy the tour!

Christmas Nights at Bayberry House:

Entryway: I just shared my updated entryway all decked out for Christmas HERE.

Living Room: With my living room cabinetry being brand new, this was my first time decorating it for Christmas. You can see it HERE. The tree in this room is decked out in whites, blues, and greens. See how I styled it HERE.

Dining Room: Even though Christmas is only a few days away, I’m still tweaking my dining room decor. You’ll have to check back in the coming days to see my completed styling. I did add a little tree decked out in gingerbread and created  a gingerbread “snow globe”  to this room which you can see HERE.

Family Room: The last stop on my Christmas Nights Tour is my family room. As much as I love my living room Christmas tree, this one is always a favorite. You can see it HERE. My fireplace / mantel is all decked out and you can see that HERE. And for the finale, you can get a closer look at one of my favorite seasonal displays, my Christmas Ribbon Cabinet, HERE.

This is so very beautiful, Michael, down to the last detail. Merry Christmas!!

Michael, I’ve never commented, but today is the day. You’re really outdone yourself and I imagine it’s been a labor of love. What a lovely, thoughtful home you’re creating. Thank you for sharing so generously with us. Your home is truly glowing! I also really appreciate that your home reflects you; you have a great eye for mixing, layering and editing – both for the camera and for actual living. Truly beautiful. Merry Christmas!

  • Beverly Miley at

    Beautiful, that’s all I can say,…just beautiful.

  • Erin Prohaska at

Might be the coziest place on Earth! I look forward to your Christmas posts every year and I think you well-outdid yourself this time. Merry Christmas to you! โค๏ธ

  • Cindy L Birney at

Michael – love it all! Where did you get the pillow with the pendant that says Christmas? Also love the round beaded tray on the ottoman. Well done!

  • Kathy at

Love your work, Michael. I wonder if you’d ever consider doing a utilitarian post about such things as where you source your lights (are they all battery operated, or do you hide your cords for the photos?), about hiding cords generally, how you hung that beautiful wreath on your living room window, whether your cats are interested in your Christmas decorations and how you handle that, etc. I loved the tip about the Command hooks for the stockings, fyi. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • Ann H at

Kathy I agree Iโ€™d love to see a post on the mechanics (behind the scenes) on how you put it all together

    • Nancy Burke at

Totally agree! While I love to see the absolute magic of the finished spaces you share (perfection, btw) I am also curious as to the less-than-photogenic aspects of getting everything to stay put and ready for the camera- hooks, wires, glue, fishing line, chicken wire, spackle (jk) and the other “behind the scenes” tools and tricks you employ, not to mention camera equipment and the settings you use to get such dreamy night shots. (I’m assuming a tripod and shallow depth of field?) Your eye for design and talent is amazing and definitely something I always look forward to seeing, but I do sit and ponder the logistics of it all. Regardless, your gorgeous Christmas post has just solidified you as my absolute fave and most inspiring designer and lifestyle blogger!

  • Teddee Grace at

Michael, your home is just beautiful and is even more eye-catching at night with the holiday lights. I remember when you bought this house and moved in. What a lot of work you have done and it has paid off. When I looked at that photo in which I can see the nearby houses, I thought how lucky your neighbors were to have you in the community. Happy holidays!
