Ingredients

Preparing a snack mix is all about gathering a mix of textures and flavors that will make your taste buds dance. Here’s a closer look at the ingredients for this Dill Pickle Snack Mix:

  • Corn squares cereal and wheat squares cereal (e.g. Chex):  These are the classic base for any snack mix. They provide a crunchy texture and are great for absorbing all the delicious flavors we’ll be adding. (The wheat ones are my personal favorite!)
  • Mini pretzels: Adding a salty crunch, mini pretzels are a must-have in any snack mix. I like the Itty Bitty Minis.
  • Pumpernickel chips: These add a unique flavor and a different kind of crunch to the mix.
  • White cheddar cheese crackers: Adding a cheesy, savory note to the mix, these crackers are a delicious contrast to the tangy pickle flavor.
  • Cashews: These nuts add a creamy, rich texture to the mix, providing a nice balance to the crunchy ingredients.
  • Canola (or vegetable) oil: This will help all the seasoning stick to the snack mix while it bakes.
  • Dill pickle juice: Our star of the show will give your snack mix that tangy, pickle flavor that is so addictive.
  • Dried dill: This herb will add an extra layer of dill flavor and a pop of color to the mix.
  • Garlic powder: A classic seasoning that adds a savory depth of flavor.
  • Ranch dressing seasoning packet: This will add a burst of flavor and a creamy texture to the snack mix.
