Consequently, I put the three together and packed them into adorable wonton cups to make these tasty Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups. They are a delicious yet simple appetizer recipe you’ll love for entertaining.
Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups
I’ve had appetizers on the brain recently. Which, to be honest, is not surprising since appetizers and desserts are two of my favorite things.
One of my favorite appetizer recipes is these Artichoke Wonton Wrappers that I shared years ago here on Inspired by Charm. They are a recipe my mom used to make on Christmas Eve and I still love them to this day.
The making and sharing of that artichoke wonton recipe inspired me to use the concept of wonton wrappers to make little cups and in turn create these Sausage Wonton Bites. They are packed with flavor!
Today it is time for round three as I am going to share these Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups. As I mentioned above, I love the combination of chicken, bacon, and ranch so I knew this would be another flavorful way to use these wonton wrappers.

You might be wondering …
What are Wonton Wrappers?
As stated earlier, I’ve used these wonton wrappers a few other times here on IBC, so you might be curious as to what they are. Well, wontons are essentially just thin square-shaped egg noodles that are typically filled with meat or veggies. They are kind of like a Chinese version of ravioli.
In fact, one of these days, I want to use them to make ravioli. Since you can purchase these wrappers in the store, it takes the hassle out of making pasta. You can’t beat that!
I love using them in this application as well. As you can see, they make adorable and crispy little shells that can be filled with whatever you’d like. In this case, I’m using chicken, bacon, ranch, veggies, and spices.
They create such a beautiful presentation and pack a mouthful of delicious flavors.
Wonton Tip:
Pressing the wonton wrappers into the mini muffin pans can be a bit tricky, so please reference the image below.
If you attempt to just press the wonton wrapper into the cup, it’s going to tear. You want to pinch the wrapper together into the flower shape shown above, insert it into the baking cup, and then gently press it into place. With this method, I had no tears.
Now that you’ve had your little food lesson for today, let’s whip up these Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups!
Let’s Make These Tasty Bites:
You can find a full ingredient list and detailed instructions for these Wonton Cups in a printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
- Gently press the wonton wrappers into the mini muffin pan.
- Bake until the edges of the wontons just start to brown.
- Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl mix together the wonton filling ingredients.
- Add a heaping tablespoon of the chicken mixture to each wonton cup.
- Return the pan of filled wontons to the oven and bake for another 12-15 minutes.
- Garnish with a dollop of Buttermilk Ranch Heluva Good! Dip and chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes:
I found it easiest to add the garnish of ranch dip by using a piping bag (or plastic baggie with the corner cut off). This method is much easier than portioning it off with a spoon.
If you don’t have access to Buttermilk Ranch Heluva Good! Dip you can make your own. Combine 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, and about 1.5 tablespoons of ranch seasoning mix. Stir to combine.
And that’s it, my friends! If you’ve never used wonton wrappers in this way, I definitely recommend you give it a try by making these Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups. And while you’re at it, you might as well try the other two recipes I linked above. If you do, be sure to find your way back here and leave a comment and rating below. I’d love to hear what you think.
You’re in for a treat. I hope you enjoy it!

This will be a nice addition to my sausage wontons. Can’t wait to prepare.
Note : I use a tapered shot glass to press wontons into cups.
Is there a way to make these ahead of time and reheat? Obviously waiting for the dollop and garnish after reheating.
Thanks for sharing a perfect recipe with us. This is so tasty….
