- vodka – Choose a good-quality vodka to ensure a smooth and clean base for your shot. I usually reach for Tito’s or Grey Goose.
- melon liqueur – Midori is a standard here, but I opted for Dekuyper Melon Liqueur which is a less expensive, yet equally delicious option.
- pineapple juice – It’s the tropical touch that complements the melon’s sweetness and adds a refreshing twist.
- fresh melon – While a garnish is totally optional, I think any cocktail benefits from a cute decoration. Here I’ve used a melon baller to scoop out little balls from cantaloupe and watermelon. The flavors are a match made in heaven, plus it’s totally cute.
I also thought I would point out the shot glasses that I’m using here. Because these are melon BALL shots, I thought a round ball-shaped shot glass would be perfect. Purchasing a shot glass for one particular shot isn’t necessary, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
