Spring is here and summer is on the horizon, so I’ve been thinking about some new creative cocktail recipes. With holidays and occasions like Mother’s Day, Easter, bridal and baby showers, etc., it’s handy to have a few go-to recipes in your back pocket that you can whip up at a moment’s notice.

That’s why I couldn’t be more excited to share this Hibiscus Iced Tea Cocktail with you. This was a recipe that I whipped up YEARS ago (seven to be exact), but it never got posted. Sorry about that!

You see, I happened to come across some pictures and that’s when I realized I never shared the recipe with you. I knew I needed to get this in your hands ASAP! I can still remember how delicious and beautiful this recipe was.

The bold pink of the hibiscus tea paired with orange vodka and sparkling water is perfection. A simple but effective garnish makes this hibiscus cocktail anything but boring.

Never had hibiscus tea before? You’re in for a treat!

What Does Hibiscus Taste Like in a Drink?

The taste of hibiscus is a combination of tart and floral. I also think it has some sweet fruity notes which make it work wonderfully in a cocktail like this one.

You can find the hibiscus tea I used for this cocktail recipe HERE. It’s my favorite!

That’s also why I selected orange vodka as the alcohol for this hibiscus cocktail. The blend of the two is delightful!

What Does Hibiscus Pair Well With?

Hibiscus pairs really well with things like lemon, mint, orange, chamomile, and fresh berries. Since this drink is so bright and light, it partners nicely with most snacks, appetizers, or meals.

Here are a few delicious nibbles you might consider enjoying with this hibiscus cocktail:

As I mentioned above, as stunning as this drink is on its own, part of its allure is in the details. The simple addition of a red paper straw, fresh mint, and a strawberry will make anyone feel like royalty. Remember, we eat (or in this case, drink) with our eyes first. The little details are what make this drink truly fabulous.
Now, let me show you how easy it is to mix up this hibiscus cocktail.

If you prefer a mocktail, just leave out the vodka and you’re good to go. It’s still beautiful, and it’s still so tasty.
