This Spinach, Bacon, and Swiss Quiche is my favorite quiche recipe and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. If you’re looking for a versatile dish that’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even lunch, this quiche has got you covered. The combination of fresh spinach, crispy bacon, and creamy Swiss cheese creates a delightful flavor profile that’s sure to impress your family and friends.
Quiches are surprisingly easy to make and incredibly satisfying. With a buttery, flaky crust and a rich, savory filling, they’re a fantastic option for any meal. Plus, this recipe is quite flexible, allowing you to tweak it to your liking by adding different vegetables or cheeses. So, let’s get started and make a quiche that you’ll want to bake again and again!
If you haven’t had quiche, I hope you’ll give it a try. In case you’re not sure what it is, it’s like an omelet baked in a pie crust. But that omelet is really decadent and full of cheese, meats, and vegetables. It’s good stuff. For the filling, you can use whatever you like – bacon, ham, lobster, turkey, just veggies, etc. The combinations are endless.
After trying many combinations, I’ve come to love the combination of spinach, bacon, and Swiss cheese the best. I’m not sure why it is, but the flavors work wonderfully together. And there’s bacon involved.
Plus, if you if cook up your bacon the way I recommended earlier, it’s even better.

Ingredients
This Spinach, Bacon, and Swiss Quiche is all about simple but delicious ingredients. Here’s what you will need:
- Eggs: The foundation of our quiche, providing structure and a rich, creamy texture.
- Half and Half: Adds a luxurious, velvety smoothness to the quiche filling.
- Salt and Pepper: Essential seasonings to enhance the flavors of all the ingredients.
- Fresh Baby Spinach: Adds a pop of color and a nutritious boost with its tender, slightly sweet leaves.
- Bacon: Provides a smoky, savory crunch that pairs perfectly with the other ingredients.
- Swiss Cheese: Melts beautifully to create a creamy, nutty layer of flavor in every bite. As always, I recommend buying quality cheese and shredding it yourself. I think this makes a huge flavor difference in recipes. As much as I love the convenience of bagged shredded cheese, nothing beats the taste and texture when you grate it fresh.
- Pie Crust: The buttery, flaky base that holds everything together, whether store-bought or homemade. If you need an easy and delicious homemade pie crust, check out my recipe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different type of cheese in this quiche?
Absolutely! While Swiss cheese provides a nutty and creamy flavor, you can substitute it with other cheeses like cheddar, Gruyere, or even feta for a different taste profile. Just make sure to use a cheese that melts well to maintain the creamy texture.
Can I make this quiche ahead of time?
Yes, this quiche is perfect for making ahead. You can bake it the night before and store it in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to serve, simply reheat it in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 10-15 minutes or until warmed through.
Can I freeze this quiche?
Definitely! Once the quiche has cooled completely, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil. It can be frozen for up to three months. To reheat, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight and then warm it in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes.
How do I know when the quiche is fully cooked?
The quiche is done when the edges are set and the center is just slightly jiggly. It should not be liquid. You can also insert a knife into the center, and if it comes out clean, the quiche is ready.
Can I use a different type of crust?
Yes, you can use a variety of crusts for this quiche. A traditional pie crust is classic, but you can also try a puff pastry crust for a flakier texture or a gluten-free crust if you have dietary restrictions. Just make sure to pre-bake the crust as directed to avoid a soggy bottom.

Yes! It does.

Fantastic! I wanted to keep eating more!😋 Out of bacon, so I finely chopped up some leftover ham. Wow!
Will be making this for dinner after reading the reviews. Try to remember to let you know how it came out the sound of all these reviews so I think I got a winner here.
It was delicious. I increased the eggs to 7 since they were a little small and added chives in it as well. It was amazing and will definitely make it again!
Is there a good way to make this ahead of time?
You can make ahead, refrigerate, and reheat before serving. It just won’t be AS fresh and wonderful.

OMGAWD! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. So easy to make. I also used your recipe for Bacon. I had to use regular slice Bacon, due to a Jaw issue. Paid close attention while baking. Definitely saving this recipe! Thank YOU for sharing it.
Perfection! I eyeballed how much of the bacon, swiss and spinach I wanted, and it came out so puffy and gorgeous! This will be my go to from now on.
It looks amazing when it comes out of oven!
I made this quiche this afternoon for lunch and served it with a simple fresh tomato salad, it was delicious. It was easy to put together, very straightforward and was ready from the oven right on the dot-no goo-ey center. Great recipe that we all loved, I will be making it again very soon. 🙂
Spectacular quiche, will make again and again!!
Can this be frozen and then baked?
Thanks!
Maybe, but I personally wouldn’t. I’d imagine the crust would get soggy.

Oh man! I made this for dinner tonight and it was AMAZING. I loved the tip of pre-baking the crust (i’d never done that before). Thanks!
You’re so welcome! It’s one of my favorites. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I have the the same recipe and these ingredients make enough for 2 pie crusts(frozen/store bought) my store only sells a 2 pack crust so it works out perfectly, anyway great recipe and thanks for sharing!!
Love , love your recipes and have shared many. Can this quiche be configured for a 9×13? I need a larger amt. for volunteering. Thanks Tons!
This quiche is SO fabulous! Made as directed and it looked just like your photos! Shredding your own Swiss and cooking bacon as suggested is a must! Thanks for a great recipe! Going to have the last piece right now!
This looks great! I also use prepared crusts for my quiche 😉 But the tip about cheese is good to know, and I will have to try the half and half instead of milk. I’ll bet it will taste better. I think I like bacon almost as much as you do!
I made this for dinner last evening, and my husband loved it! So, yes, real men eat and love quiche!
What beautiful quiche…can’t wait to try when we have breakfast for dinner this week!! 🙂
Any tips on how not to eat the bacon before you add it to the quiche? ; 0
Lock it up and throw away the key? Haha!

Yum. I’ve enjoyed all of your breakfast posts. They looked easy enough and impressive, my favorite combo.
Perfect!
