Christmas Kitchen Decor Ideas
This Post May Contain Affiliate Links. Please Read Our Disclosure PolicyWell, friends, it’s officially the most wonderful time of the year. This past weekend, I got the Christmas totes down from the attic and did a little decorating, so today I’m ready to share Christmas kitchen decor ideas with you!
When I post about Christmas this early in the season, I always like to offer the following disclaimer: Bloggers post early so you’re able to take it all in and implement what you like whenever YOU are ready. Get to decorating, crafting, and creating now, or wait until later. It’s up to you, if, when, and how you do things for the holidays!
I am thrilled to be back today with my Seasons of Home Blogger friends. Each of us is giving you a peek at our kitchen Christmas decor. Once you’re done checking out my kitchen, be sure to click through the additional 11 bloggers below. Everyone is incredibly talented, and there are so many styles. I know you’ll find lots of reasons to ooh and ah!
Since it’s early in the season and I’m happily decorating a new space (In case you’re new to Inspired by Charm, I remodeled my kitchen earlier this year. The full tour and complete source list is here.), I’m still getting a feel for how I want my kitchen to look for Christmas. So please consider this a work-in-progress and sneak peek into my full Holiday Home Tour which will go live in early December. (I have A LOT of decorating to do before then, but at least I’ll have started on my kitchen!)
With that introduction behind us, let me show you around!
Christmas Kitchen Decor Ideas:
In styling my Christmas kitchen decor, my goal was to bring in festive moments but keep things simple.
My process for this space started with hanging small wreaths on the windows above the sink. The wreaths are faux but quite real looking. I found them at a local Christmas store (Sewickley Creek Greenhouse if you’re in the Pittsburgh area). Inspired by the knobs on my range, I wanted pops of red in this space, so I added red ribbon to the wreaths. It’s purely decorative since I used these Command Hooks to hang the wreaths.
Because my kitchen gets a lot of use, especially this time of year, there is minimal decor on my countertops – a few bottle brush trees with gold, green, and red ornaments, a couple brass tea light holders, and small wire lights. Isn’t it amazing how a string of lights instantly makes a space feel like Christmas.
On a recent visit to a local antique store, I found these pine tree salt & pepper shakers. What a great shade of green! I paired them with a new candle my sweet friend Laura of Finding Home Farms sent me. This one is Cinnamon Bark & Anise. I never thought I was a fan of anise, but this candle smells divine!
I also swapped out the artwork to the left of my range. I found this original colored pencil drawing at an antique shop last year and instantly fell in love with it. It works beautifully here. I used Command Picture Hanging strips to attach it to the tile. I ended up using four of the large strips to be on the safe side.
As I do on most of my tours, I also baked a delicious treat for you. This is a Cranberry Apple Tart. It’s just the thing for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any dinner or party in-between. On my tour, it doubles as a lovely prop. I can’t wait to share the recipe with you. Stay tuned! In the meantime, you can find more of my holiday recipes here.
One other thing I wanted to point out is my new crock. It’s another of my antique finds. I filled it with (mostly) vintage rolling pins. The red and green handled rolling pins bring in the colors of the season but will look great all year long. The two glass rolling pins are a nod to my maternal grandma. She always used a glass rolling pin. After she passed. my mom inherited that rolling pin. I mentioned to my mom how much I love it and that I was looking for a similar one. Mom was able to find one on eBay and gave it to me for my birthday. A couple of weeks later I happened upon one at an antique store. Now I have two. I do love how this little display looks.
Christmas Kitchen Decor Ideas: Butler’s Pantry
I added a couple of festive touches to my butler’s pantry as well. I chuckled as I wrote that last sentence. A year ago the space housed a single-stall shower with only cold water. Now, my pantry is there, and it’s one of my favorite places in my home. What a difference!
I continued the red theme in the pantry. When deciding on the paint color for this cabinetry, I purposely chose something that would work well with “Christmas” red. (That’s how much I love Christmas!) I couldn’t be more pleased with the combination of sage green, cherry red, and walnut. It’s warm and inviting!
Several years back I picked up this set of Santa mugs. Since then I try to purchase one or two vintage Santa mugs every year. I now have a nice-size collection. I love how they look on the shelves.
The ceramic tree is another recent vintage find. I’m hoping to find a place this year where I can paint/make one!
And with a few other holiday touches here and there, my Christmas kitchen decor is complete. What do you think?
I’m still going to futz around a bit (as I tend to do) so I’ll have more to share soon. Just recently I hung shelves in my dining room AND got a new dining room table. It’s been loads of fun to add personality to that new space.
I hope you enjoyed looking around my kitchen. Again, If you’re looking for any sources, please visit this post here for more details.

Michael, it goes without saying that your kitchen is charm personified. Is that a nut grinder or a meat grinder in your pantry? All of your vintage touches are wonderful and bring back happy memories. My ceramic tree memory is kinda odd …. way back in the day (over 30 years ago) when there were still State mental health facilities, I was a student in my professional program (occupational therapy). Part of the programming for the residents was to work in workshops creating items to sell to the public and one of the items that they made was …. ceramic Christmas trees! The residents were paid for piece work and we used it to help them develop skills which would hopefully transfer to the outside world.
It’s a nut grinder! I just loved it. I’m not sure if it works, but it adds such character. And I LOVE your ceramic tree memory! That’s the best!!

Your perfect kitchen is perfectly dressed up for Christmas! Just the right amount of magic. Love your Santa mugs. Did you consider hanging them from your pegs? Just a thought…that would probably look cheesy…I’m no decorator, LOL I spotted your trays on the left wall of the pantry. I’m a collector also and recently found one at a flea market that I had to have. I think you have mentioned them before. Probably in your kitchen reveal yes? Blessings to you for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I just found your Oct post dedicated to your trays…duh…how did I miss that! The accent wall looks amazing with your collection in the pantry.
I love your kitchen and butler’s pantry, and all the Christmas decorating. Everything you post is inspiring. Thank you!
So glad I found you from another blog. I really like white kitchens because at any time you can change accessories in any color and it’s all new. I have never seen a glass rolling pin. Now I want one. Does it open so you could put ice in it for a chilled pastry roll with butter ?
Myrna, So glad you found IBC too! The glass doesn’t seal so I don’t think it can be filled with anything, but maybe the glass is better at holding a cold temperature?

I love the little colored pencil drawing! Great find. Thanks for always inspiring us with your decor
Ideas and recipes.
Love how your kitchen looks, but Yikes! I can’t imagine anything other than the wreaths in mine. It seems there is never enough counter space and I bake a lot year round–Christmas is just nuts in my kitchen! I am fascinated by the glass rolling pins–never have seen one. Was it meant to be cold for rolling crusts or any other special use? Love your vintage touches–though I must say, if they are vintage, so am I😳 I remember the ceramic trees, Santa and Mrs. Claus and those Santa mugs…how time flies!
Thank you so much! I’m not sure what the purpose of the glass rolling pins were for. I know my grandma used hers for pie crust.

Michael, beautifully done as usual! I especially love all the vintage pieces. The room just gives off such a cozy, familiar vibe. Also, there is a place called Clayful Pottery, that had a vintage tree you can choose to make. It is out here in the north hills Perry highway. They have a Facebook page and website too I believe. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, always look forward to see tour creations!’ Take care, Laura
Thank you much for the note about Clayful Pottery! I will definitely check them out!

My aunt made my brother and me Santa mugs years and years ago for Christmas and my mother used them in her Christmas decorating. I don’t think we actually ever used them for drinking out of, so I still have mine and decorate with it at Christmas as well. I saw those instantly on your IG peek – fun! I love the Christmas touches you’ve made and also look forward to the full tour.
Awww!! I love that sooo much. What a special memory to have and use year after year!

You are quickly becoming one of my favorite blogs and those recent Instagram shopping trips have really captured my attention and jumpstarted some creativity of my own… seriously, please continue doing them. Those could easily stretch into a really popular weekly HGTV show …. in my humble opinion.
Oh, and this kitchen décor is so tastefully done. It’s like The Three Bears version of décor – not too much, not too little – just right!
