Home Decor Ideas for Spring
This Post May Contain Affiliate Links. Please Read Our Disclosure PolicyWelcome to my Spring Home Tour! I’m so excited to be joining a crew of fabulous bloggers for the Spring Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours hosted by the always lovely Lindsey of The White Buffalo Styling Co. I will link up all of the participating bloggers are at the bottom of this post. I highly recommend that you check out everyone’s space. To anyone who’s visiting IBC for the first time, welcome to my blog and my home!
It feels as if not much has changed since our last little tour, but I figured I’d show you around anyway. As you might have guessed from the many food posts on IBC in recent weeks, I’ve been struggling a bit with my design and creativity muscle lately. Much like my physical muscles, I need to get my butt in gear and start working out.
As in past tours, I will mostly let the pictures do the talking and throw in a few links here and there. If you have any questions, just note them in the comment section below. If you’re looking for paint color sources, everything is listed here. I’m currently working with my graphic designer to improve this list and its functionality, so please stay tuned for that.
Ready? Let’s do this!
Our first stop is the dining room. It looks pretty much the same. I’m still very much in love with the gray and immensely grateful that Nate pushed me to make the change. Last week I shared a few ideas for styling centerpieces for your dining room table if that’s ever a struggle for you.
Chalkboard-Top Entry Table // DIY Dining Room Shelves
In the entryway, I installed this DIY coat hook. It came in handy for my mom’s 60th birthday party. I also found that orchids do exceptionally well (when watered) in this space, so I’m totally loving that.
Over in the office, things are looking familiar as well. I’m trying hard to limit the amount of “stuff” I have around. I’m not quite where I want to be, but I’m making progress.
DIY Bulletin Board // Shelf Styling // Hanging Chair
In the living room, I decided to do something new for spring. In the past, there was a lot of color happening in this space. Although I loved that, I’ve pared things down to mostly blue, green, and yellow. Naturally, a few other colors can be seen in the rug and some of the accessories, but for the most part, the color scheme has been refined. I think it’s more cohesive and relaxed.
Wanderlust Gallery Wall // Coffee Table Styling
The kitchen really hasn’t changed at all. I’m itching to replace the countertops and backsplash. I know it’s going to be a job and half so I’ve been procrastinating. However, I think it needs to happen sooner than later.
Heading upstairs, I’ve moved around a few things in my bedroom and added accessories. I’m hoping to make some progress with wall art / decor in the near future.
This winter, my guest bedroom received an updated paint treatment above the fireplace. I also wanted to point out how well this little cactus garden is doing. It’s grown so tall.
And that’s about it, folks! I hope you enjoyed this spring tour. Next up on the list is the ever fabulous Green Dream DIY. You can check out Carrie’s space and continue with the tour there.
As always, thanks for stopping by! I already have a Summer Home Tour scheduled, so expect that in a couple months. Hopefully, we can get outside then when things are a little greener.
Have a wonderful weekend. I’ll meet you back here next week.
Love, love, love those white shelves. They look practically weightless. Where, oh where did you find them? Please do tell.
Which white shelves are you referring to? In the living room / office or the dining room?

Absolutely love your home! And, from that little peek into the kitchen, it looks so vintage with a modern twist of the pegboard, I would not change it at all! Would love to see more of your kitchen! Also, where did you find those fabulous file cabinets in your office area? I love them!
Michael, I LOVE your home, as always. That closet is unbelievable! I’m so grateful you joined in!
I LOVE EVERYTHING! Buying a house right now and looking for inspiration. Stunning!
How is it possible for you to make everything look perfect? from cookies to pillows to tables to lamps to etc, etc. I love visiting your home Michael, I can stay here forever..xo
Beautiful tour! I always love your pillow combos/arrangements! And your light fixture choices truly make the room(s). I actually had a home appraiser come through the house (for mortgage stuff) and he said that my lighting choices absolutely improved the value of the WHOLE HOUSE! So I am sure that you are doing the same. Keep up the great blog work — I just love your home/design posts. You’re inspiring me to try a plant or two in the house — I’ve avoided it forever!
Your home is so beautiful! I seriously can’t choose a favorite room!
I really can’t even handle your home (in the best of ways!!). Every time I pop over here, I am so inspired. So much creativity in every single space.
