Marinated Mozzarella
I have loved cheese as far back as I can remember. Back in first grade, I have a very specific memory of forgetting my snack and my mom showed up with cheese and crackers – my favorite!
For many, cheese is a go-to nibble when entertaining. At least I know it is for me. That’s why I decided to take classic cheese to the next level by marinating it in fresh herbs and spices.
The flavor combination is fresh, bold, and delightful. Plus, thanks to the sprinkling of herbs and spices, the small mozzarella cubes look like they’re dressed up for a celebration. So festive!
You can serve this Marinated Mozzarella on its own or with some crackers and/or pretzels. It also makes a beautiful addition to any appetizer spread, a cheese board, or the trendy charcuterie.

No matter how you serve it, I’m certain the dish will be empty by the end of the evening.
Want to know how to make it? Let me walk you through the steps.
How to Make Marinated Mozzarella:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, herbs, and spices. A detailed ingredient list and recipe instructions are provided in a printable recipe card below.
Add in the cubed mozzarella cheese and stir gently to combine. In case you’re wondering, you can get 21 cubes out of an 8-ounce block of mozzarella cheese. (You’ll need two 8-ounce blocks for this recipe.)
Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving. Gently stir the mozzarella a couple times while it marinates.
I transferred my marinated mozzarella to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and turned the jar upside down and then right side up to coat the mozzarella as it was chilling. This makes every little cube equally flavorful.
Serve chilled using toothpicks.
