For some reason my first comment never went through, but this pie or if made in tarts is always an amazing hit! http://warfieldfamily.com/2013/06/chocolate-spike-pecan-pie/
My go to party snack is a cheese ball or jalapeño popper dip!
Jalapeño Popper Dip!? Love that!

I love a good seven layer dip (though the layers really depend on what you like). The basic dip is beans, sour cream with some taco seasoning mixed in it, guacamole, salsa, cheese, olives and anything else you’d like to add to the Mexican inspired dish. 🙂

My favorite to take (and eat) is a simple concoction called “Hot Jezebel”. I mean, with a name like that how could anyone resist. Make a thick, amber glaze of apricot preserves, mustard and horseradish and drizzle over some fluffy cream cheese. Slide a cracker, veggie stick, or even a finger through, and be amazed by all the flavors dancing on your tongue! Savory, sweet, salty, sour, it has it all!

Chicken cream cheese jalapeño dip! Grab a bag of tortilla chips and you’re set!
I always loved my dads quick appetizer for cocktail parties with friends. A package of cream cheese like an unwrapped block and place on plate, pour Pickapepper sauce over top and place ritz crackers all around on plate. You can’t stop dipping into it — good stuff!
I love to make bruschetta bites. I like to use slices of baguette. Another favorite is sun dried tomato anf lentil pate on crackers, ideal for vegetarian guests.
I always bring a dessert! I love to bake, so that is my first choice. I am always trying new recipes so I never have the same staple!
Oh my goodness. Me too. I always volunteer to bring a sweet!

I love croquettes and “empanadas” so good!
Homemade Christmas cookies in the winter or popcorn and lemonade in the summer.
We just had a work party today! My go-to dish – and yep, I took it today – is fresh fruit. So many people break out their deliciously unhealthy appetizers or desserts for get togethers, and I find that fruit is always well received and a refreshing compliment to the other offerings.
My favorite is cilantro/jalapeno hummus with pita chips.
