You know I love me a creative printable. That’s why I’m so happy to be popping in today to share my latest: plaid-inspired printable Christmas gift tags. I’ve long been a fan of plaid, tartan, gingham, and buffalo check patterns, so this year I’ve decided to use those patterns as inspiration for my holiday wrapping.
Before I tell you more about these Christmas gift tags, I wanted to let you know that I’ve joined a group of blogging friends to share 15+ free Christmas printables with you. We love giving back to our readers, and free printables are one way to do that. Whether you’re looking for art, advent calendars, cards, or gift tags, we’ve got you covered. I’ll link up everyone below. Be sure to click through the full list of goodies.
You might remember that last year I shared these Santa’s checklist-inspired printable gift tags. They are still a favorite of mine. This year, however, I decided to go a bit more classic with my tags.
Plaid-Inspired Printable Christmas Gift Tags:
As you can see, this printable includes four different plaid-inspired tags.
While they are part of a coordinated collection, each tag has its own unique flair. What do you think?
I even went the extra step of providing you with an optional backside for the gift tags. That way, instead of being white on the back, the back of your tags will match the plaid design on front. It’s all in the details, my friends.
When printing the tags, I recommend using a cardstock paper like this one. The thicker the better!
Print Page 1 first; then align the paper in the printer again in the direction that’s needed to print Page 2 on the back. It’s that easy. For a sharp looking tag, I like to make sure my printer is set to the highest quality print.
To cut out the tags, I used a straight edge craft cutter like this one and a sharp pair of scissors. A hole punch is ideal for making the hole at the top of the tag.
You can attach these Christmas printable gift tags to your package any way you’d like, but I think baker’s twine looks sweet.

These plaid tags are darling, Michael! I’m a big fan of plaids, My printer does two-sided printing, so it was easy to let the printer do its thing, and both sides of the tags were perfect! Thanks so much! A very merry Christmas to you and your family with lots of good times in the year ahead! Waving at you from North Carolina! Harriet Clark
