This past weekend my mom came to visit me here in Pittsburgh. We did what we do best, which means we spent lots of time exploring the city, visiting local shops, and biking a trail into the city. We even hit up a fall festival at a local orchard. Even though the festival was a bit of a miss (The place was packed.), there was a fabulous takeaway: these Harvest Apple Mules!

Harvest Apple Mule Fall Cocktail Recipe:
One of the booths at the festival was selling vodka, and they provided a sample of this drink. We both had a sip and were impressed by the flavor combo. In a nutshell, it’s a Moscow Mule plus apple cider. That’s it. I’ve often found that simple is best, however, so I wasn’t surprised this drink was a home run, especially for fall.
Typically, a mule is served in a copper mug, but I thought this drink was too pretty to hide in a mug so I opted for a glass.

No matter how you serve it, I think you’re going to enjoy the simplicity and bright fall flavors of this cocktail. For me, this is one of those cocktails I’ll go back to again and again when I just want something to sip on.

Although it has a completely different flavor profile, it reminds me of the Cranberry Bourbon Cocktail I made last year. That has been (and probably will continue to be) my go-to drink for the holidays. This Harvest Apple Mule is likely to be my new go-to cocktail for fall.
Let’s stir one up!

That’s it, my friends. Cheers!

I’ll be back here next week to officially welcome November and what I consider the start of the holiday season. Yes. You can expect some Christmas content to start making its appearance here on IBC. Although I realize most of you may not be ready for it, I’ve already seen several folks filling up their carts with Christmas goodies at HomeGoods. Post-Halloween, the holiday spirit will definitely be in the air.

This potion will be the perfect thing to keep me answering the doorbell this Halloween. (AND I have all the ingredients on hand.) Thanks!
what a wonderful fall cocktail, love the ginger beer! Nice drink, thank you!
We had this last week at a pub in Washington, another great Apple state! They made a cinnamon infused vodka to add to the holiday feel of this cocktail.
I can’t wait to try making this drink for the Fall season. Your drinks are really good!
