2ouncesrye bourbon
½ounceAmaro Nonino
½ounceDolcetto syrup*
2-3dashes Angostura bitters
Orange peel and Luxardo cherry to garnish
Instructions
Begin by adding a large ice cube to a rocks glass.
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the bourbon, Amaro Nonino, Dolcetto syrup, and bitters. Shake vigorously.
Strain into the prepared glass over the ice cube. Garnish with an orange peel and a Luxardo cherry.
Notes
*Dolcetto Syrup:To make Dolcetto syrup, add 1 part red wine (Dolcetto if available, but any dry red will do) and 1 part sugar to a saucepan. Heat over medium heat just until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
