1packageSweet Italian Style Chicken Sausage Burgers
Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a small baking rack in it. Set aside.
Lay each burger on two strips of bacon that have been crossed on top of one another. Top each burger with a slice of pineapple. Wrap the ends of the bacon over the burger and pineapple slice. Use a toothpick to hold the bacon in place. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Place the burgers on the rack in the prepared baking sheet and then bake them for about 45 minutes or until the bacon is done and the burgers are completely cooked. About 15 minutes into the baking process, brush each burger with barbecue (or teriyaki) sauce.
Once cooked, place each burger on a bun and garnish with mayonnaise, onion, tomato, avocado, and lettuce. Serve immediately.
