All you need is some brown wire, star anise, and a couple of tools to craft this rustic star anise Christmas wreath. Use these wreaths to deck your halls, decorate a garland, or trim your tree. This is an easy DIY with beautiful results.
Begin by forming your wire into a ring. The size of the ring can be whatever you'd like.
Continue to wrap the wire (without cutting) in circles until you go around about 3 times. Keep the wire loose and natural looking.
Use your wire cutters to cut the wire when you're finished wrapping.
Take a minute to work with your wreath shape and adjust it until it looks pleasing to you.
Select a few star anise to add to your wreath.
Use your hot glue gun to glue the star anise to your wire wreath in a random design. Make sure to cover the two ends of your wire with star anise as well.
Hold the star anise in place until the glue begins to harden.
Once all of your star anise are in place, turn the wreath over and add a bit of glue to the back of any of the star anise that feel loose or not secure.
Allow the glue to harden, and then add a piece of ribbon (if you'd like) to hang.
