Hey there, friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I was busy making some changes around the house this weekend, so I thought I’d catch you up on the progress and share a few hints of what’s to come.
Paint – This weekend I painted my dining room. If you are following me on Instagram, this won’t come as a surprise. But yes, the yellowish orange has been replaced with a new and beautiful gray. I’m actually working on a little project with Target and Nate Berkus. Yes, THE Nate Berkus. (I got to talk to him on the phone for almost 10 minutes! I’m still pinching myself.) Anyway, I’ll be sharing more details about the revamped space next week.
Peek – In the meantime, I thought I would give you a sneak peek at some of the new products from the Nate Berkus collection that are going to be making their way into my dining room. I can’t wait to show you everything.
Hang – I was also busy doing some other handy things this weekend. I finally hung barn doors over the little prop closet in my office. They are pretty amazing! But, of course, I’m going to make you wait for the full reveal.
Decorate – In other styling news, I finally got a new coffee table. I’ve had my eye on this one from Wayfair for quite some time and finally pulled the trigger. It’s perfect! I love the detail on the wood top, and the tones in the wood match my hardwood floors perfectly. Plus, the metal base works nicely with my curtain rods. It’s a win all around!
Celebrate – I’m a little behind with this, but last week we celebrated my mom’s birthday! I was in charge of the cake. I ended up making this 14 Layer Cake I found via Bakerella. It was delicious! Happy Birthday, Mom!
Read – Recently, I’ve been reading The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. It’s certainly providing a lot of encouragement, guidance, and ideas for tackling my 52 Habits. I highly recommend it.
Watch – And I will leave you with this. Apparently it’s a commercial for a cell phone company in England. It’s pretty much one of my all-time favorite commercials. Enjoy!
Have a great week, everyone!
