I’ve spent the last couple days exploring Portland, Oregon and I am nothing short of inspired.
The amazing stores, beautiful architecture, and epicurean delights have sparked so many ideas I can’t even begin to put them into words. As I travel home tomorrow, I will be making notes to keep these ideas fresh.
I plan to share more details about my travels, but I wanted to share a few photos today of places and things which have inspired ideas for my home. Even though pictures and real life are not the same, I hope you enjoy them nonetheless.
What places have you traveled that have left you feeling utterly inspired?

I just want to say, I’m jealous! I grew up down the road in Salem and hung out in Portland a few times as a teenager. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go back and just take it all in.
I love walking around big (old) cities – Boston, London, Paris, Venice. I don’t know what it is about them – The history? The architecture? I don’t know, but I find them amazing!
I little bit of everything I suppose. It was such a great experience. You need to make it back there – or somewhere ASAP. 🙂

I LIVE in Portland, how lucky am I?! I was excited to see you were visiting through your IG feed. I’ve only lived here 5 months, but already have no intention of leaving I assure you. Its simply amazing 🙂
I don’t blame you! It’s truly a fantastic city!

Looks like you got to browse around some fun places. I get to see Western cities all the time and I love them and a ‘city fix’ is always wonderful but I was in Southern Florida in September and it felt really other-worldly and exotic. I mean, to be able to just walk into the warm ocean instead of running away from the cold Pacific? That is really something to me.
I did! It was wonderful. I feel like each city / area of the country has so many unique things to offer. You just have to find the one that fits you best I suppose.

Loving these beautiful pictures! I have been to Portland four times for work over the last 10 years {flying from FL} or so and I just love it. I am in love the down town community and I am always inspired by how much they have to offer. It’s been a few years and these pics just took me right back. Thanks Michael!! xo
Awww! I know exactly what you mean Claire. I’m dreaming about the day I can get back. While I seen so much, I feel there is so much more I missed!
