What is a Bellini?

A peach bellini is a classic cocktail recipe that originated in Venice, Italy back in the 30s or 40s. The Bellini got its name because its unique color reminded the creator, Giuseppe Cipriani, of the colors found in one of Bellini’s (a painter) 15th-century paintings. How fun is that!?

Since its creation almost 100 years ago, the Bellini has become a popular cocktail to serve at brunch and breakfast.
