Since we’re almost halfway through October (and it’s been a while since the last Tuesday Tunes), I thought some new grooves were in order.
A couple weekends ago I was in Asheville, NC for the wedding of my stepsister. A local bluegrass band played at the wedding. (One of the band members is a friend of the newlyweds.) While bluegrass music is not a traditional choice for nuptials, it was the perfect touch for my stepsister’s outdoor wedding which happened to be on a farm.
I am aware that not everyone is a fan of bluegrass or country, but somehow that style of music always makes me feel at home. Along with that, there’s something about this time of year that makes me gravitate toward the simpler things in life so I’m calling this week’s playlist, Autumn Acoustic. It’s a mix of acoustic favorites, bluegrass covers, and folky fall jams.
Whether you’re picking apples, enjoying a hayride, getting cozy next to a campfire, leaf peeping through the Northeast, or sipping apple pie sangria on the porch, this playlist is perfect for any fall activity.
You can use the playlist to hum along with me or listen directly on Spotify by by clicking here.
I hope you enjoy these down-home autumn sounds!
