Well, we did it! 12 days, 72 ideas. This is the final post of the 12 Days of Christmas. I sincerely hope you have enjoyed this series and have picked up a few ideas along the way. Before we wrap things up, let’s take a look at one more idea.
I’ve decided to cap off the series by returning to my office. It’s been a while since I’ve shared any updates of this space, so I figured this would be a good day to so. I actually have a lot to show you in the living room section of this room, but I’m waiting for a few more pieces to arrive before I do that. Hopefully, I’ll have an update for you next week.
Anyway, today I just quickly wanted to share a little holiday shelf decorating. You may remember that about a month ago I visited NYC and attended Target’s Holiday House. The theme for the event was My Kind of Holiday. I really took that slogan to heart when it came to my holiday decorations this year.
Over the years my style has changed. For years, I was absolutely influenced by what was popular or trendy. And, while I still absorb as much inspiration as I can from the design world, I’m slowly learning to step out with my own individual design style.
And this year, more than ever, I’ve decorated my home to suit me, using the things that make me happy. I’ve probably broken every design rule in the book and I assume some folks won’t appreciate it, but this is my kind of holiday and I just don’t care. (Well, I care … but I don’t. You know what I mean.)
From a rainbow-inspired tree to a matching wreath to an eclectic centerpiece to snow speckled wood trees, I’ve created a holiday house that I’m thrilled to share with my friends and family. Although there is still work to be done elsewhere, today I’ve filled the shelves in my office with color and festive inspiration.
Most of the decor is made up of things that I use everyday – like these frames, the amazing gold Nate Berkus vases, and books, but I did tuck in a few holiday touches here and there.
Obviously, there are lots of vintage-inspired ornaments. Some new and some old.
A few fabulous snow globes, some gorgeous white deer, and a toy truck hauling a tree complete this eclectic display.
You’ll also notice (It’s next to my dresser.), that I found some fabulous holiday paper, too. Target has the best holiday wrappings. The red, green, and blue chevron paper is my favorite.
Well, that’s it for Day 12. Have no fear, though. There is still more than a week ’til Christmas and I still have ideas to share. Please continue to check back for last-minute designs, recipes, and inspiration. Speaking of more ideas, swing by BHG’s Delish Dish blog and take a peak at my Peppermint Dream Cake. Not only is it adorable, but it’s also mighty tasty!

Good luck to everyone and thank you all so much for following along and sharing your kind words and comments. It’s greatly appreciated.
And again, a very Merry Christmas to you!
This post was created as part of my collaboration with Target as a member of Target Inner Circle. As always, the thoughts and ideas are my own. #MyKindofHoliday
I loved this series! I was wondering were you got the shelving unit to put all these wonderful decorations on?
Thanks!
Love it! Perfect for the holidays!
While I loved all your posts, my favorite part might have been the quick tips. I’ll definitely be marching to my own drum, but I’m going to rope my dad into cutting out some Christmas trees for me. Wood working is not my thing and I think he needs a project. Thanks for 12 festive days!
Aww! I’m so glad to hear you loved the Quick Tips! They were fun to create! And yes, in the future I’m going to seek assistance from my Dad when it comes to wood working too! Haha.

I love that you use what makes you happy. Over the years, after following trends every year, I have come to use and love what makes me happy. I also follow trends and get ideas. Sometimes I use them and sometimes I just use them as inspiration for the way I want them to look. Love your blog.
You got it!! Thank you so much! 🙂
