Well, I had Nate Berkus in my dining room. I might as well have Jonathan Adler in my bedroom.
It’s driving me bananas that my bedroom redecorating is not yet complete. Up until yesterday, I actually had a Christmas tree in there. (I put it up about two weeks ago in order to work ahead a little on Christmasy things and just took it down.) Anyway, over the next few weeks, I’m going to work diligently to get the space looking more presentable.
Thankfully though, things are actually starting to fall into place, and I’m finally getting a vision, furnishings, and much needed motivation for the space. Part of my renewed vision and motivation is due to the new light fixture I found for the bedroom.
You might remember that my first attempt at a chandelier failed. I think that’s when my vision was somewhat crushed. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, however, because it led me to the perfect fixture.
This is the Jonathan Adler Meurice Chandelier in Bronze from LampsPlus. Isn’t it stunning?
I’ve actually had my eye on this fixture for quite some time. But it wasn’t until recently that I learned it came in bronze. Up until then I’d only seen it in brass. (For anyone who might be interested, it’s also available in silver.)
Despite finding out about the bronze finish, I still wasn’t sure about the piece. I thought (with my slight obsession) that the brass piece could work as well. I ended up sending a few pictures of my room to the folks at Lamps Plus. They connected me with a designer (This service is available to anyone; just give them a call.) who helped me decide what would work best. They even provided other options that could work for the space. However, they felt this piece, in bronze, was a good fit. And it is!
I think the fixture has a vintage but modern feel which I love. It’s also a bit quirky. And it’s masculine. My style in a nutshell! Well, honestly anything Jonathan Adler makes is my style!
In addition, I love all of the lights. It requires 30 bulbs! I used 15-watt bulbs and installed a dimmer. At night, the look is magical. (The bulbs are showing up a bit orange in the picture, but that’s not quite how they look in real life.)
As if you can’t already tell, I’m crazy about my new fixture and excited about getting the rest of the space together. I clearly apologize for the less-than-attractive room set up at the moment. It can only get better, right? Stay tuned for more on my bedroom.
What do you think of the new fixture?

Nice! Do you Airbnb your space/room? I’d totally stay there. 😉
Your bedroom is coming right along! I swear it looks like a spa in there, and that Jonathan Adler lighting is to.die.for. I bet you’ll enjoy it like crazy for many years to come!!!
Love the light fixture. My first thought was I bet it looks magical when turned on. Lights on both ends. Good idea about the dimmer. It is definitely masculine in the bronze coloring. I’ll have to check it out in silver or gold to see if it looks feminine (is that spelled right?). Coming together nicely.
Thanks! Yes – the others are a bit more feminine. I love them as well, but this seemed like the perfect fit. 🙂
