Since we are almost half way through february, i think we all could use a touch of spring in our homes. my sister-in-law was inspired by a mantel display she saw in a catalog and wanted to recreate a similar look in her home. which then inspired me to find some of the key ‘details’ for her and for the shoppe. after some research i found the most amazing nests and eggs. literally you could put them anywhere (trust me…i have – see the images below) and you have instant spring.

aren’t they sweet?

‘spring up’ your table setting! you could even use the eggs as place cards!

under a cloche. so special.

ooo! look an egg hatched … a little bird awaits it’s worm.

and of course… i ‘stole’ a little egg for my own kitchen!

sadly I don’t have an online shop (yet) but if you are interested in purchasing some of these sweet details, shoot me and email – info (at) visitoldcharm (dot) come – and i’m sure we can arrange something.

also, i need to ask you a big favor. a fellow blogger needs our help. follow this link to visit rachel’s cottage house. she made a post today about a very amazing online store. (they actually sell some of the same things I do in my gift shoppe) anyway, she’s working on a special project with them and needs to get as many comments on her post as possible. so, i’m asking for you to take one minute (it shouldn’t take longer) to visit this post and make a quick comment. you could also check out the farmhouse wares site too. it’s actually pretty cool. thank you in advance.

and check back on monday too! i’m going to have my first giveaway here at inspiredbycharm! you’ll have all next week to ‘enter’ and i will announce the winner next friday. have a great weekend. see you monday.

Those eggs you showed are darling! Thank you by the way for mentioning me, I really appreciate it. I can’t wait to find out about the giveaway… it sounds really exciting!

I love the eggs and I love the little nests. I actually bought some that are really similar last year after the holidays at Marshall’s. I have 8 of them and hoped to create more with some inexpensive plastic eggs I have on hand. Wish me luck. You’ve lit a fire under me. =) I need some spring in my life.
