about a month ago, while walking around the local second hand shop and goodwill (and no, i’m not there everyday … although it does seem like it these days) i found dozens of old glass christmas balls. after making sure no one was looking i quickly ran to them, grabbed as many boxes as i could and checked out before anyone could stop me. little did i know these christmas balls would inpsire my holiday dining room decor

i then gathered some candlesticks, some i had … some where thrifted, and painted them all white. (i swear white spray paint is magic. truly magic.) these glass ball ,and my freshly painted candlesticka, became my new dining room centerpiece

i stack them on an old washing machine agitator i found antiquing a couple years ago.

with some white primer first, then laquer white over top, the candlesticks are beautiful and flawless.

pretty. don’t ya think?

moving on to my wreath … i found some colorful satin ribbon at walmart, tied it to my curtain rod and let everything hang over the wreath (which is attached to the wall with those removable 3m hooks [which are genius and amazing])

i then attached ornaments to some of the strands of ribbon.

of course i had to take a bunch of pictures. i was able to get three really great (in my opinion) shots.

i had them printed out at walmart into 8x10s. (speaking of walmart, i got that pink disco ball ornament there too. freakin love it! i think it was a dollar. ah-mazing!)

i then replaced some of my pictures already hung in the dining room with the three pictures above. see…

and with plenty of christmas balls to spare i filled two antique glass globe vases (which you can purchase in the gift shoppe [i accidently ordered eight instead of two … whoops! but don’t worry, i just kept two for myself]) with them.

and that’s an antique level above these pictures. it’s red and green. who knew a level could have christmas cheer too?

and that completed my look! with all my thrifty finds i think everything came together for less than $30. love it! hope you have a wonderful weekend!
