Here’s what you will need:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 yellow pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 small white onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons coconut oil ( or extra virgin olive oil)
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon chili sauce
1/2 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon chili powder
3 green onions, chopped
1 head romaine heart, stem removed washed and dried

Let’s get cooking!

Place a large skillet on medium high heat and add your oil to the pan. Once warm, add the peppers and white onion. When the pepper and onions begin to soften (about 4 minutes), add the beef. Break up the beef and stir enough so that it doesn’t burn. Next, add the garlic.

Once the beef is almost fully cooked, add the rest of the ingredients: hosin sauce, soy sauce, chili sauce, honey, salt, pepper, ground ginger, chili powder, and green onions. Cook for a few more minutes until the beef is cooked through. Remove from the heat.

With your washed and dried lettuce pieces, fill each lettuce “cup” with a spoonful of the chili beef mixture. Serve and enjoy!
