Hello, everyone! It’s been a while, hasn’t it. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a beautiful start to the new year! I can’t believe it’s officially 2013. To be honest, I’m not certain that I’m 100% ready for another year. While I’m excited about all the promises, opportunities, and adventures the new year offers, I’m also kind of freaking out. You see, this year carries an incredible amount of change for my life (details coming soon), and I’m not sure how to deal with all of that change. Right now 2013 looks like this big brick wall. There are some amazing things on the other side of it.However, instead of leaping over like I normally do, I sat down in front of it. This has some benefits, of course – like finally watching the first seasons of Downton Abbey (Yes, I love it. I may be kind of obsessed.), but sitting in front of a wall really isn’t my style. At this point, I just need to discover how to jump, climb, or crawl over it.

I’ve been so inspired by everyone’s resolutions, goals, and words of focus for the year. I just haven’t been able to figure out my own. I suppose, though, when it comes down to it, that’s okay. There is no point in coming up with goals or a vision when I’m not ready for it. Right? I do need to get my butt in gear pretty soon because watching Downton Abbey isn’t going to pay my bills. Thank you so much for your patience while I decide what to do. I promise I’ll be back soon and hopefully better than ever! I have so much exciting news to share with you, fun projects, delicious recipes, and lots of new ideas for this year. I just need to get them all out of my brain first.

Michael, you’ll do fine as you always do. I think after the tragedy right before Christmas we all got the wind taken out of our sails, I know I did and I’ve been on autopilot but like you, I did a little escaping and watched Downton Abbey (LOVE!!!!) and a bunch of Hallmark movies and it was good to kick back for a change….we’re just not used to it! LOL! Let your intuition speak to you and listen to it….it’s going to be a great 2013 for all of us! TTYL!

Sometimes we need these moments of rest and reflection to gear up to what we have planned. It’s okay to take time for yourself for rejuvenation.

I totally agree with you!! I kind of enjoyed 2012 and I wasn’t quite ready for it to end. Maybe you just need a break! Or a vacation… or both!! 🙂

You are missed, but take all the time you need!

Now, if I could only see what this Downton Abbey is all about… why can’t Canadians watch it for free?! ARG!! 🙂

Michael I have always enjoyed your posts and I always look forward to your new projects. I too, after the Newtown incident took a step back. Being a first grade teacher and experiencing our own school crazies set my compass off. I think it made the whole nation stop and reflect. I have felt this energy so much from so many, so you are not alone. We all need time to pause then recalibrate and adjust our sails. Good for you, no excuses needed. I too, want to catch Downton Abbey and find out what the buss is about. Have a banner year Michael! Sue at

Happy New Year, Michael! Everything will happen just as it should in its prescribed time and place. Keep staying open to opportunities and taking chances. You’ll know the right moves to make <3

Good luck Michael, getting over that wall. I’ve learned that sometimes we just need to plop down and let our thoughts have some time to work themselves out. I look forward to the great things you will be sharing with us all…when you’re ready. 🙂
