I’m sure you know by now that I have a tiny (actually huge) love affair with CB2. Lately, however, I’ve been trying to simply, keep my wallet in my back pocket, and ridding my house of excess clutter.

And as much as I tried, I broke all of those rules when I saw this large gold fish planter. Can you blame me? It’s beyond adorable and totally me. What do you think?

I’ve had the planter for a few weeks now, and it has remained unplanted. I decided to finally get my butt in gear because tomorrow I’m going to be participating in the Summer Tour of Homes hosted by Gina over at The Shabby Creek Cottage. Today I will be running around my house getting things clean and in order for the tour and snapping lots of pictures. Anyway, this planter needed something in it before the tour, and I thought I’d share it with you today.

I lined the bottom with a few rocks, added soil and a few plants, and voila! It’s complete! I’m not sure what the tall plant is called. It was labeled “succulent”. The trailing plant is Silver Falls.

For the moment, the planter has found a place on my fireplace mantel. I’m not sure where its final home will be so I guess you’ll have to stop back tomorrow. Isn’t the fish just the cutest? I really love quirky accessories like this and the gold is over-the-top awesome. (In case you’re not into gold, it comes in a beautiful green as well!)

That’s it for today, friends. What new home accessories are you gaga over these days?
