Well, my vintage food mill planter has made its yearly return. I love that I am able to consistently post about this because it is probably one of my favorite things to plant every year.
This year it was pretty easy to plant since last year it got a bit of a makeover with a liner in an effort to hold in more water. All I had to do was squeeze in two plants and add some soil. So easy.
Anyway, this year I took a new approach and planted some different plants in my food mill. The purple plant is called Purple Passion or Velvet Plant. It’s actually an indoor plant, so I’ll be able to bring it inside at the end of summer. Love that! According to my mom, it should flower as well.
The other plant is called Fiber Optic Grass. Isn’t it the coolest?! It really does remind me of fiber optics or fireworks. My dad and his wife picked up four of them for me at a nearby greenhouse. They know exactly what I love. Thanks, Dad!
I think it turned out pretty cute! What do you think? What odd or vintage things do you like to plant in?
