OK, back to my Christmas table decor and a bit of its backstory. I actually fashioned this table setting in October. As you probably know, I’m a HomeGoods blogger. HomeGoods asked me if I’d be interested in taking pictures of some of their 2018 holiday merchandise. After asking me about my style preferences, they sent me an assortment of their new products.
I’m usually pretty picky about my decor, so I was a tad nervous about what I might receive. However, because I’m also always up for a challenge, I was excited to see what I could do with the decorations that were chosen for me.
Festive Christmas Table Decor Ideas:
This Christmas table decor is what I came up with. Isn’t it fun and festive?

In the package from HomeGoods, I found the two large deer, a couple boxes of ornaments, galvanized metal houses, and the grouping of trees. The rest of the items on the table are my own.
I took inspiration from the colors in the ornaments to pull the rest of the table together. Icy blues, grays, whites, and metallics make for a beautiful winter look.
This tablescape doesn’t scream traditional Christmas, but it captures the spirit of the season. (Speaking of traditional Christmas, if that’s what you’re after, check out my family room holiday decor which I posted about yesterday.)
To add a little glow to the table, I used these modern candle holders filled with silver glittered candles. I placed them on top of this adorable faux fur table runner and scattered ornaments around.
I kept the place settings simple with patterned dinner plates and plain white salad plates. The napkins are gray with a hint of silver sparkle. I wrapped the snowflake cookie cutters with pom-pom ribbon.
To finish things off, I brought in greenery. Do you recognize this plant?
It’s bayberry! Given that I call my home Bayberry House, I thought I should have a few bayberry bushes in my landscape. These cuttings add a unique element to my table and coordinate with the bayberry I tucked in white pitchers on my sideboard.

I love your dinnerware! Would you happen to know where it could be purchased?
Simple + elegant. The cookie cutters add a fun touch, too! I love celebrating the holidays with you, friend!
Stunning… love your ideas. We are spending the holidays in the DC area with my daughter’s family who doesn’t decorate for Christmas. My plan is to decorate with twinkly lights, snowflakes, mittens w a few of my favorite decorations sent from California. Your tablesetting gets me in the mood. Happy Holidays!
This tablescape is so serene and lovely. Makes me think of the Christmas carol lyrics “all is calm, all is bright.”
I love your style and how you are transforming your new home. ♥️
It’s always a little scary to open the box not knowing what decor you are going to find inside, isn’t it?!?! I love what you created, though, and the combination of all those ornaments together in the bowl is really pretty!
I love it. That deer is stunning too. It adds just the right texture for your beautiful table.
Thank you so much, Christine!!
