i can’t believe it’s friday already. where does the time go? it’s another busy weekend around these parts. it seems that most weekends are lately. which is always a good thing.
anywho, on sunday my mom has put together a pretty fancy shindig for my grandparents who are both celebrating their 80th birthdays this year. a little sunday birthday supper!
which i find so hard to believe because i’ve always seen (and still do) my grandparents as sixty for some reason. when i hear eighty … is just so hard to believe. do you know what i mean?
i volunteered to make the drink … and of course i chose sangria! yum!
since it will be a sunday and lunch time i felt a white sangria was most appropriate. i think i’ll jazz it up with some peaches. i’ve found these recipes (this one and this one and this one and this one) i’m going to make my own combination of the four and hope for the best.
that’s the great thing about sangria, you can just throw a bunch of wonderful goodies together and your bound to get something delicious. i’ll post my recipe on monday (with some pretty pictures of course).
(ps… love these glasses!! oh my.)
and if you know of any good sangria recipes i should check out, please leave a link in comments section.
have a fantastic weekend everyone! i’ll be back tomorrow with more fabric pictures and shout outs. thanks everyone!!

how wonderful – and lucky! – to be 80, still married, and healthy! congratulations to them both. i’m sure your sangria will be delicious.
80 years, that definitely is amazing! you are so lucky to still have your grandparents around to spend time with…and wonderful ones at that. 🙂
