One. My Dad’s annual Forth of July party was on Saturday. Remember his Father’s Day gift? He put it to use making over 100 jello shots. If you never made jello shots, follow the directions on the package replacing the ‘cold water’ with you choice of alcohol. It’s that simple.
Two. Also on the menu was Michelle’s (his wife) famous pizza bread. I’ll try and get the recipe at some point. It’s so simple, yet so amazing!
Three. We also soaked some gummy bears in alcohol. Overnight is best, but a couple hours works fine too. They were delicious! Cherry vodka was used for the soaking. Yummy!
Four. I also purchased some giant marshmallows for the now annual marshmallow fight. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. I love my family. I love that they enjoy ‘fighting’ like kids with giant marshmallows.
Five. On Sunday we celebrated my nephew’s fourth birthday with a superhero themed birthday party masterly crafted by my sister-in-law. She seriously plans the best parties!
Six. Monkey bread was made by request for my guests on Monday morning. I use The Pioneer Woman’s recipe. It is mind-blowingly delicious.
Seven. July 1st marked the beginning of the new Instagram Photo a Day Challenge. Are you playing along? You can follow me on Instragram @inspiredbycharm or you can follow along here.
Eight. My Uncle is home visiting. Based on his appearance and his love of red shirts, he is often confused with Santa. Pair that with a free iPhone app called ‘Santa Hat’ and the look is complete!
