Yes, I’m back on the healthy eating train. Remember Operation 20lbs earlier this year? Well, I managed to lose about 10lbs with during that process. Great, right? Wrong. This summer I managed to put back on the 10lbs that I lost. Maybe more … but who’s counting?
I really just let loose and ate whatever I wanted. Plus I went from running 6 miles everyday to not running at all. Not good.
So I’m taking a new approach. I’m not really planning on starting on any fancy diets this time around. Just a conscious effort to make better food choices and to be more active. It’s that simple.
I’m not overweight by any means, so I don’t need a drastic change or major diet. I’m just not feeling comfortable in my own skin, my shirts are a little tight in the midsection, and I just feel generally sluggish.
So, I’m at it again. We’ll see how this goes. I’ve been running the past couple days, eating healthier, and surprisingly a,lready can feel and see a difference.
One thing that is really tough for me is sweets. I love cake. I love pie. I love ice cream. I love cookies. I love chocolate. It’s my weakness. Finding alternatives for these high calorie treats is a must! I keep little pieces of dark chocolate (which I used to hate) around to nibble on when I get a little craving, but sometimes that doesn’t cut it.
Recently I was ask by Silk to try some of their new drinks on their interactive Silkology Facebook page full of some banging recipes! After checking them out, I was more than excited to give one a try.
