For the past few weeks, my dining room has been a magnet for anything in my life without a specified place – books, glasses, mail, DIY projects, etc. I think most folks’ dining rooms go through this phase, right? Well, today I got the motivation to turn it back into a functioning dining room and get it ready for impromptu summer guests and parties. (Have I told you that my real-life BFF is moving back to town in less than a week? I am beyond thrilled!)
I also have been wanting a set of white porcelain dishes. I love my Fiestaware, but there’s nothing better than a set of white plates. I love both the look and the price of BHG’s new white dinnerware (at Walmart, no less), so I picked up four sets. I’m so pleased with it. I also got my hands on some of the new FEED line from Target. Loving the white canisters with wood lids. But more on those things next week. Anyway, I’m so happy to have my dining room cleared and ready for parties with my friends!
What do you think of my space?

Hi Michael! I’m not sure if you mentioned the color of your green cabinet before, but would you mind sharing it. My dining is similar to yours and I want to implement some changes according to your room starting with that green cabinet that I love so much!
Brandi – great question, but unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you. So sorry! I actually bought the cabinet from a small shop and it came that color. Sorry again!

where did you find that dining table?
I love your adorable, fun, eclectic, classy, chic, cool, happy place. And your dining rooms not bad either. Just kidding. I always scan my emails to see what has come in and when I see there is a post from you I dive straight into it. Always love what’s brewing at your beautiful home. Now, when can you come and help me with mine.
Hahaha! Love it Karen! Thank you so very, very much! 🙂

I am drooling over those hide covered chairs! Did you find them that way or recover them?
I know, right!? That’s how I bought them – you can read all about them here: https://inspiredbycharm.com/2013/03/no-animals-were-harmed-in-the-making-of-this-post.html

Love all the color and thoughtful details… Very inspiring, and will be keeping my eye out for wooden ironing board. Cheers to you! 🙂
All I can do/comment on this post is: *squealing with excitement*!!! 🙂 I can’t even.
Yay!! Me too! I can’t wait!

I love the vibrancy, spirit and flair of your dining room. To successfully combine the range of colors and the varied patterns without a “master” fabric that incorporates everything is an amazing decorating feat! And you have such a deft touch creating vignettes, you are my go to stylist for that inspiration.
You are such a talented stylist, Mr! I love how you’ve pulled the space together for the summer season and you know that your yellow walls kill me everytime. L.O.V.E!
Blushing from ear to ear! That means so much coming from you, Will! Thank you!! Happy Weekend!

I spy… a cute gold elephant! And is that a wooden anvil on your mini bar?? Love.
Our dining are becomes a catch all for “schtoof” as well. Your whole space screams cheeriness and fun and is filled with great pieces that are actually as useful as they are decorative. Pinning!!

Omg. I love the little elephant. He’s from Target. The wood ‘anvil’ is a vintage ironing board for shirt sleeves! So cute, right? Thanks so much Claire!

Beautiful room! What a great space to entertain!
Love your dining room. Are you still planning on replacing the rug? Where did you find the blue pitcher?
Honestly, I’m not sure. Probably. It doesn’t REALLY bother me, so maybe down the road. I need to other things for other spaces before a new rug. Haha

Lovely… looks so inviting and comfortable.
LOVE the yellow walls…what color is that? I’ve been thinking about painting my dining room and it is so cheerful…awesome job decorating.
Hey Sharron, it’s called Afternoon by Sherwin Williams. Thanks!
