How to Serve

Serving this Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal is as easy as it gets! Here’s how you can do it:

  • Spoon It Out: Once the oatmeal is baked to perfection, let it cool for a few minutes. Then, use a large spoon to scoop out portions into serving bowls. The texture should be firm yet soft – just perfect for spooning out.
  • Add Your Toppings: Drizzle with a little milk and a generous pour of maple syrup. This adds a touch of sweetness and a creamy texture that pairs beautifully with the warm spices of the oatmeal.
  • Get Creative: Don’t stop at milk and maple syrup. You can also add a sprinkle of chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts work great), cinnamon nuts, a handful of fresh berries, a dollop of Greek yogurt, or even a sprinkle of extra cinnamon or pumpkin spice on top.
  • Serve Warm: This oatmeal is best served warm. If you’ve prepared the oatmeal in advance and stored it in the refrigerator, simply reheat a portion in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes before adding your toppings.
  • Make It A Meal: If you’re looking for a more substantial meal, serve this oatmeal with a side of scrambled eggs and a cup of hot coffee or tea. A perfect, balanced breakfast to start your day right!

No matter how you serve it, this baked pumpkin oatmeal will become a new fall breakfast favorite!

  1. With the weather cooling down I am excited to make savory pumpkin dishes, bread. This recipe is sooo good. The spices are perfect. I added some chopped pecans on top before baking for some crunch. Yum! I think I will try it with some warm milk when I reheat it tomorrow morning. Thank you for a great recipe!

  2. Love this recipe! On busy weeks I like to make it ahead then keep it in the refrig for quick breakfasts. So yummy with a little maple syrup, walnuts, and vanilla Greek yogurt or almond milk added before serving.
