We all have a few guilty pleasures in life. As weird as this may sound, one of mine is seeing something with a fresh coat of paint. I’m always amazed at how paint can completely change a space or an object.

As you know, I’ve been spending a lot of time and energy outside getting my porches and new deck on fleek. My friends over at Benjamin Moore wanted to help me spruce up my porches with their new Aura Exterior Paint. This paint is awesome for the outdoors as it resists fading, adheres really well, is self-primping, resists cracking and peeling, has extreme coverage, and the list goes on. Plus, it’s available in all of Benjamin Moore’s brilliant hues so adding a pop of color to coordinate to my space was super simple.

Let me show you a few of the ways this paint has improved my spaces.

First, on my front porch I had some plain wood planters that needed some love. The goal here was to add a bright and colorful addition to the front porch.

I chose Dark Salmon in a satin finish to add a splash of bright color.

Planted with some ivy and red geraniums, these freshly painted planters add major curb appeal. They also tie in nicely with the colors I chose for my side porch.

Speaking of my side porch, it received a little paint upgrade as well.

I decided that my thrifted shelf needed a fresh new look. Since this porch is already loaded with colorful accessories, I opted for white. Well, Chantilly Lace to be exact.

With its new look, this shelf is looking fresh and clean. Because of the brick walls, this porch can seem dark at times. The white brings this corner to life. It also makes my herb garden stand out.

Also, now that this shelf is looking and feeling so much cleaner, it doubles as a little serving area when I’m entertaining. I love things that serve multiple purposes.

Finally, let’s head to the deck for my final (and favorite) paint transformation.

Remember that wicker bistro set I thrifted earlier this year? Well, my vision has come to life.

What an amazing transformation, right?

I opted for Onyx in a semi-gloss finish. I knew that I wanted a black, but without the sharpness of a true black. Onyx was the perfect choice.

I’m so pleased with my bistro set’s new look. I shared a picture with a friend and he said the set looked expensive. I couldn’t agree more. It really helped give my new deck some life and class.

The power of paint my friends! It’s pretty awesome. Do you understand my guilty pleasure now? So, what do you think of the transformations? Which one is your favorite?

Absolutely loving what you have done. The paint makes everything look so much newer. Each piece stands out individually with the colors that you have chosen but is tied in well with what is around it. Great color combinations. I keep your emails in a folder to look back on for ideas. You definitely have an eye for decorating. 🙂
