I enjoy doing these monthly recap posts. However, they make me realize how quickly time passes. It feels as if I just did the one for September.
The beginning of November always fills me with mixed emotions. I’m SO excited about the upcoming holidays, but dread the stress. This year, I’m hoping to stay on my toes and get things done early so I will be able to relax and truly savor this most wonderful time of the year. Keep your fingers crossed.
Anyway, in case you missed something in October, let’s take a look at what happened.
I made more progress around the house. I put the finishing touches on my basement stairwell with a new wall sconce and artwork. I also finally picked and installed a light fixture in my bedroom. I’m still loving my choices. Then, there were the additions to my closet. I got this beautiful leather ottoman. With input from you, I also made a decision about my vintage dresser and replaced it with something more spacious. I was SO happy to read that many of you agreed with the change.
As usual, there was deliciousness happening in the kitchen. I kicked off the month with my recipe for Pumpkin Mac and Cheese with Bacon. And because I can never get enough cheese, I also threw in these amazing Mini Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. To wash all of that down, I shared my new-found love for gin) along with the recipe for Blackberry Gin Lemonade. Finally, since no recipe collection would be complete without dessert. I baked this scrumptious Pumpkin Coffee Cake and these boo-tiful Ghost Cupcakes.
