Among the many things I love about the change of seasons is checking out the new home decor lines at some of my favorite stores.

As many of you know, I’m a big Target fan. Their Threshold home decor line is fabulous. They have the one and only Nate Berkus, and have recently been teaming up with bloggers like Oh Joy! and Wit and Delight. My RED love just seems to grow and grow.

Anyway, a couple weeks ago when I was traveling back from NYC, I swung by a Target to check out the latest offerings. And of course I purchased a few things. These are my Fabulous Fall Finds!

First off, I couldn’t resist this fur stool from Nate. I actually had it in mind when I created my shelf ledges in the upstairs hallway. I’m really pleased with the way it looks in the space.

I couldn’t pass up a little more gold, so I picked up this diamond tray. I love having pieces like this around not only for entertaining, but for decorating as well. It adds a fun shape and a little sparkle to a shelf or a table top vignette.

My surprise find on this trip was copper flatware. I’ve been quickly falling in love with copper and thought these would be great to have on hand for entertaining as well as photographing some of my food for the blog. The flatware runs $6 per set. They only had four sets left, so I’m hoping to pick up a few more on my next trip. I also got the matching serving set.

While I was tempted by many other things, I had to stop there. As much as I love to shop, I’m also trying to scale back a bit. My prop closet is overflowing.

I did, however, pick up laundry detergent, coffee, and some other household essentials. And speaking of such products, I found out that Target offers a subscription service. This is really ideal for me since the nearest Target is an hour and a half from my house. (You can imagine my pain.) Basically, you can subscribe to thousands of items at Target.com. You order an item once, set up a delivery schedule (which is totally changeable), and never have to run out or add it to your shopping list again. Total game changer, people. Think of the time you’ll save.

Plus, you save 5% on every order and there is free shipping on subscriptions! AND, if you have a REDcard, like me, you save another 5%. This is bananas. If you are interested in more info, just go to Target’s website.

Michael, Michael, Michael…please quit tempting me with such great stuff. My heart says yes gotta have it. My pocketbook says no, I said no! Lol. I absolutely love the fur stool and it looks wonderful there. Got to have some of the copper silverware. So pretty. I love your sense of style. You are very good designer.

Hi Michael. I find the two comment areas on this post confusing. Is the first section because it is a sponsored post? Anyway, I chose to post on your regular comment section.

I was in Target last night and came across this… http://www.target.com/p/threshold-copper-plated-stainless-steel-serving-tray/-/A-15399638#prodSlot=medium_1_4&term=copper+tray

Have you seen it? I instantly thought of IBC. We live in a suburb of a metropolitan area so I can think of about 11 Targets I can get to in 30 minutes or less. But if it makes you feel better, Ikea is a drive.

A few years ago we spent Thanksgiving with my in-laws in the Upper Peninsula of MI. We drove about an hour or so to get to a shopping area for black Friday and stopped at Target of course. When the item my teenager daughter wanted was out of stock she politely asked them to check another store. They just looked at her and I had to explain that this was the only Target in the UP. My daughter was incredulous.

    Love your fall finds

Please answer. 🙂 How are these only $6 a set? Are they made really cheaply and not at all like the expensive $100 set from threshold? What is the brand name of these?

Leah, don’t be too sad. They were from the Threshold line at Target last fall. They are no longer available for purchase. They were great. However, after a year of use they are now silver and no longer the beautiful copper. Such a bummer. You get what you pay for I suppose.

      xo Michael
