As I’ve already mentioned way too many times recently, this week I’m hanging out in Southern California. So far, my visit has been fabulous. Thanks to many of your recommendations via email, blog comments, and Instagram, I’ve found lots of wonderful things to do. Yesterday I walked Hollywood Boulevard and checked out all of the famous stars. I also visited The Grove to do a little shopping. And, I had my first In-N-Out burger which was as delicious as I was hoping it would be.

Hanging Out with Shakira | Inspired by Charm

While all of that was enough to make the day pretty fabulous, last night I attended Shakira’s Album Release Party at the IHeartRadio Theater. Honestly, it all still feels like a dream. I was able to take part in this event thanks to my friends at Target and their Target Inner Circle.

Shakira walked the red carpet and I was literally inches from her. At one point when she walked passed we brushed shoulders. I really don’t get star struck, but that was pretty amazing. Shakira has partnered with Target to release her new self-titled album. The album at Target has three bonus tracks. Love that! I’ll take all the extra Shakria I can get. Hearing her talk on the red carpet was so awesome. She truly is a sweet and warm person.

Completely irrelevant, but Ross Matthews (who I think is hilarious) also walked the red carpet. He had me cracking up.

Anyway, get on over to the Target nearest you and check out Shakira’s new album today. I’m totally loving her single, Empire (the video was just released this morning!). 23 is another favorite. It’s an amazing ballad / love song. She talks a little bit about 23 in this clip from the party.

Stay tuned to Instagram – later today I just may be giving away a copy of the album. Hint. Hint. Also check out IBC in the coming weeks. I’ll be sharing fun ideas for hosting an album release party of your own. Plus I’ll have more to give away.

Have a fabulous Tuesday!

This post was created as part of my collaboration with Target. As always, the thoughts and ideas are my own.

How cool! I love seeing your photos on Instagram. I’ve never had an In-N-Out, we don’t have any in Kansas City, but if I ever see one I’ll be sure to try it!

How fun! But-where did you get/whose t shirt you are wearing? My son would love it!

Sounds like you’re having a BLAST! I have family in southern California, so when I’m there it’s always all about the visiting. We HAVE to make a stop at In-N-Out though, so I’m SUPER jealous you got to eat there.

Continue having fun – I love Ross Matthews too!

P.S. I made your cinnamon sugar cake (in a bundt pan) the other day and mailed it to my daughter who is away in college. (tomorrow is her birthday) I just sent a can of vanilla frosting and some sprinkles along with it. She just let me know that she got it, has already had a piece and LOVES it! So, thank you for sharing the recipe!
