Modern touches with vintage accessories via Emily Henderson and Orlando Soria #FileThatUnderInspired

I’m a huge fan of Emily Henderson and Orlando Soria. Their design sense and respective blogs are fantastic. Based on reading their sites, I get the impression that they also are pretty close friends. Anyway, last week Orlando posted some pictures of his updated apartment on Emily’s blog. His place is pure genius. I wanted to repost every photo here, but I limited myself to the dining room. So, do yourself a favor and check out his entire space here.

While I pretty much love everything about this space, I’m most excited that the work was done on a budget many folks can afford. The dining table is a little bit of a splurge at $600, but most of the accessories are vintage, the shelves are from Ikea, and the chairs are from West Elm. I will also admit to being a bit obsessed with the light fixture and the gold pig bookends, not to mention that artwork. Amazing!

What do you think of this space? Love it or hate it? What details are your favorite?

I saw it on her blog yesterday and was thinking the same thing! The space is beautifully designed, liveable and affordable… which seems to be rare to find which designers of their caliber. I basically want to copy everything in that space :p
