Plan – First, sorry for being so quiet around here these days. I’m in a bit of a rut. After I shared my big news, I’ve been struggling with how I want to move forward, where I want to take IBC, all that good stuff. Ultimately it’s a decision I need to make, but I love you and value your opinion so I asked for your input via social media today. What would you like to see on Inspired by Charm? More of … ? Less of … ? If you haven’t already done so, please share your thoughts in the comments.

EatPost cruise, I’m attempting to be more conscious about what types of foods go into my body. Healthy is always a good option, right? On Friday, I roasted some asparagus, yellow squash, and red onions for dinner. I just drizzled all the chopped veggies with some EVOO, sprinkled on a bit of salt and pepper, and popped it in the oven at 400 degrees F until tender. It was the perfect dinner. Though, it would have been a lot healthier if I had not chased the meal with a bottle of white wine. Yes, an entire bottle.

Watch – After dinner, my white wine and I finally watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I’m not sure if it was because of the wine, but the movie was fantastic. Some of you may have seen me tweeting a few of my favorite quotes. I cried like a baby at the end, but it was the good kind of cry. The movie is definitely worth watching so be sure to check it out.

Shop – On Saturday my Mom and I did some shopping. I know I mentioned it before, but you seriously need to get to Target to check out their Threshold line and the new spring line from Nate Berkus. Fabulous stuff! I’ll be sharing my purchases soon.

Freak Out – Speaking of Nate Berkus – I instagrammed a picture of this beautiful gold-dipped bowl and tagged him in the post. Literally, an hour later he liked the post. Biggest fan-boy-freak-out moment ever. Therefore, March 9, 2013 will be officially known as “The Day Nate Berkus Liked My Instagram Post.” I should also mention that on Sunday he retweeted a tweet from Target I was tagged on. This is why I love social media. Also, did you know his show is off the air? Devastating news. Looks like I need to cross that dream off my list.

Wear – I fell in love with this look from Express. I have the button down and t-shirt, but was super disappointed that the red pants are no longer available. Now, I’m on the hunt. What do you think of bright colored pants for men?

Listen – Sunday I did a lot of lazing around. In an attempt to focus, I did take some time to listen to a few recordings of After the Jump. These are radio programs from the fabulous Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge. They offer really solid advice about finding your voice, becoming your brand, and being present. The programs run about 20 – 30 minutes, but they are invaluable and free.

Snuggle – I also managed to get this admittedly adorable shot of me and Sebastian. A moment to cherish, right?

Hope you had a super weekend. What new things did you find or do?

Ok, first, that picture of you & Sebastian is just absolutely precious!! LOVE it!

Second, my hubby & I watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower a couple weekends ago. I wasn’t drinking any wine and I really enjoyed it! Have you read the book?

Third, I can’t believe Nate Berkus liked your Instagram pic!! That is the coolest! I pretty sure his show has been moved to the Oprah Winfrey Network, but you may double check me on that! Let the dream live on! 🙂

So sweet! Thanks Tonya. So I just found out the details on Nate – apparently he’s hosting a new design show/competition on NBC. So excited!

This post made me laugh out loud. Yup I wrote the whole thing out. A rebel. Chasing a meal with a whole bottle of wine is sometimes a necessity of life to continue enjoying a well deserved moment. I think if Nate Berkus liked any of my instagrams or blog posts I would have a fit. I would just keep checking it and showing people until my battery died.
Looking forward to your decor posts.

Hey there Michael, good to see your posts again! You sound like you are at a crossroads. Don’t worry about where you are going or how things are going to unfold, just put out to the Universe what your heart seeks and it will come.
I too laughed at your story about eating healthy and the whole bottle of wine….the bible says….take a little wine for thy stomachs sake, or something to that affect…..you be the judge of how much a little is! I think many of us just enjoy hearing about how you are doing, decorating, plans, experiences, and also checking into Pinterest to see what you’ve pinned! Electronic hoarding I’ve heard it called….love it! Just keep on doing what you are doing, if you find something new….we will all be waiting to cheer you on! Oh, and yes, men can wear coloured pants…why not.

Really liking your Weekend Wanderlust series! So sad that Nate’s show has been off the air for many months now, but excited for the “like” he gave you!! Awesome! The picture of you and your cat is one of the most beautiful photos I have seen in a long time.

I love your blog and follow you on Pinterest and Facebook. I like the recipes and decorating projects. I also like reviews of products and the Lessons sereies. Thank you!

Love your post and of course I love Nate Berkus and met him when he was vacationing here a number of years ago. The picture of the kitty and the handsome young man is so sweet. Be true to yourself always. Blessings

Carrie made me read Perks of Being a Wallflower because it is her most favorite book ever, and she wanted me to read it before we saw the movie. I loved BOTH so much! Glad to hear you did too. 🙂

LOVE the photo of you and your cat, and I think the red pants would look awesome on you.

I know that your new situation might seem disjointed to you, but as a reader of your blog I’d like to think not much has changed in what you’ll share with us – decorating with re-purposed items, yummy recipes, Weekend Wanderlust – just being yourself. That’s what keeps me reading your blog – and for me, that has nothing to do with what you decide to do for a living. 🙂

So you had your Social Media Freak Out moment this weekend which is funny because YOU gave me my social media freak out moment when you replied to my tweet about the Irish Bread Pudding and asking if you could come to the party as well!
I completely freaked and called several people to make sure they saw the reply!!! (So wish Dallas was closer to PA;)

Hope this make your day a little brighter as it shows you that you make a big positive impact on people’s lives and we completely understand about crossroads, big decisions and having entire bottle of wine!

i agree with the other comments. we love your crafting, sewing ( i still remember and love the red and white drapes!) your cooking, seeing your shop and just you!! just keep sharing YOU! thanks, sharon

Love the pic of you and Sebastian! I think you could definitely pull off the red pants. A “little” wine never hurt anyone. 😉 I’ve pinned so many of the recipes you’ve posted. Now, if I only had the time to make them all!

Keep up the good work. Love what you’re doing.
