As much as I appreciate a rusty, oversized, old chicken feeder. I also love bright colors, clean lines, and modern quirkiness. In my opinion, modern and rustic country are a match made in heaven! Nothing makes me happier than to include both in my decor. So when I’m looking for bold and interesting pieces, my heart always leads me to CB2 (Crate and Barrel’s more modern and hip brother [or sister, I haven’t quite determined that yet]). CB2’s catalog is one of my favorites to receive in the mail. After excitingly flipping through its pages, I always feel inspired. The newest CB2 catalog is no exception, so I decided to pick out my top five spreads and share them with you. This post is not sponsored by CB2. I just love their stuff. Though, if I had a dream company to work with, it would probably be them. Anyway, check them out.  I’d love to know what your favorite pieces are and how you mix modern elements into your space.

I absolutely love, LOVE their Oliver appetizer plates. Not only are they adorably cute, but we use them ALL the time. Great for toast, sandwich, desserts of all sorts. I know it’s not really a design element, but I had to sing their praises. They come out with new designs a few times a year and once they’re gone, they’re gone. My only regret is I don’t have room to collect all of them.
