first, thanks for all your spider web and pumpkin love yesterday!  i really, really appreciate all your happy comments.

today i just HAD to share my newest addition to the gift shoppe.  as a shop owner you generally have to place orders a season or two in advance in order to get the merchandise you want. this is often tough to do. imaging planning for  christmas in the middle of spring. anyway, you also tend to forget what you ordered.

so i had some lanterns that were on back order and i just received them today. they were actually delivered by a semi-truck and the box they came in was huge! (another lesson i learned early on was to pay attention to the dimensions of items when ordering.)

well, once i opened the box, to my surprise, it contained a ginormous lantern (about 3.5 feet tall and a foot and a half wide) and it’s complimentary counterparts.

craziness, right? (it honestly looks bigger in person too!) but, i just love it! all three of them actually! i can’t wait to get them displayed!

if you’ve ever been to my shop you’ll know that i love carrying different and unexpected items, just like this giant lantern. i’m actually getting a metal deer head later this week!

also in the order were these pyramid shaped greenhouse lanterns. adore! Oh the possibilities with these guys.

once i get everything placed and arranged in the shoppe i’ll be sure to share more pictures … that is, if i can find room for them!

what do you think would look interesting inside these lanterns and greenhouses?

Oh those are so gorgeous! Can’t wait to see how you use them in your shop. I’m thinking warm glow of candles, fresh pine boughs and of course snow, but have no idea how to make it work all together without causing a fire! ~Lili

They are gorgeous!! They have a sort of beachy/shabby vibe, so I’m thinking starfish are necessary! But I decorate for every season with starfish, even if it’s not summer, so you could do starfish and pinecones or something! 🙂

I also think a display with these and some signs would look gorgeous! Yes, you should make more signs! I first started reading your blog bc of the signs you made “long ago!” Love your blog no matter what you write but I’m also biased towards signs since that’s my new business!

Oh, my goodness. I can’t tell you how much I love the ginormous lanterns. I’ve totally been looking for a set myself to display inside our unused fireplace. These would be perfect and I’m totally digging the color.

I love these lanterns! They would go with some of the nautical decor I have here in Florida! Love your blog! I’m following you now!
