you guys are killing me with your most magical places. seriously. i pick a freakin’ store and you guys are talking about flordia, san francisco, ireland …. even your own backyard! it’s been so fun reading your stories. thanks so much for sharing. really, thank you.
yesterday i made cranberry orange waffles for breakfast. they were so yummy and so appropriate for the season.
a long time ago i shared my go-to pancake recipe. even though alton brown would be disappointed, i use the same recipe for waffles. i think it works great! a bit crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. what more could you want?
i simply added the zest of one orange, the jucie from that orange and a handful of cranberries (cut in half). i also added a bit more sugar as the cranberries are a bit tart. yummy, yummy, yummy!
and don’t forget to take some time this weekend, if you dare, to participate in the blog party via newlywoodwards. i’ve already started my projects. and even though i switched things up from my original plans i’m really excited about it. check back monday to see what i came up with.
a week from today (next friday) st. marys celebrates their light-up night. the town is decorated for the holidays, shops stay open late and offer snacks, santa comes. it’s pretty magical. so this weekend i’m preparing for that. putting up outside christmas lights, getting the shop ready, etc. its a bit to early for me, i’d like to wait until after thanksgiving, but i go with the flow as i really don’t have a choice.
if you are in the area next weekend the shop will be open late on friday and of course on saturday. i think i’m going to be making a bunch of cupcakes. i’ll give you full details tomorrow or sunday.
what are you doing this weekend? hope it’s fun and exciting.
