cute, right?

one of my guests actually told me she saw the same birds at terrain. (even though i haven’t been there yet, i’m quite certain it’s one of the most magical places in pennsylvania [second to old charm, of course]). i guess great minds think alike. (eddie ross was there a couple weeks ago doing a demo … so bummed i missed it.)

anyway, to enter, just leave a comment below mentioning of one of the most magical places you’ve ever been. it’s that easy folks. i’ll announce the winner on monday.

this giveaway also acts as a great example of the kind of amazing, fun, beautiful, brilliant, wonderful and festive gifts i will be giving away via the 12 days of christmas. (and i’ve only heard from three bloggers so far … please help spread the word … pretty please.)

love those lil birds! The beach will always be the most magical place to me… growing up plenty of time was spent on the Florida Panhandle and that will always hold a special place in my heart 🙂

I don’t get the point of Twitter! Just another way to be overly connected to everyone, in my opinion. But, as for magical places, I loved Puerto Rico when I was there for a company incentive trip. New York City at Christmas was pretty magical too!

  • KatiePerk at

How fun! The most magical place Ihave been to was Costa Rica! The sun, the surf, the guacamole!

  • linwood avenue at

stick with twitter – you will become addicted. it is quite possibly worse than facebook for me as far as a time-sucker. the key is to interact with people and reply to their questions, etc..

  • Mrs. Adventure at

Those birds are beautiful thanks for such a great give-away.

The most magical place I’ve ever been would be on my family property (where the old homestead was) there is such a peace about the place.

  • Cindy at

One of the most magical places I’ve been is Yankee Candle flagship store in S. Deerfield, MA. You aren’t too far away, maybe you’ve been there too? The Christmas village there, the rooms that have the nighttime sky ceiling, the snow falling, choo-choo train going ’round…& the ‘outdoor’ front of Santa’s castle…I love it all!! I try to get there every year or so.

  • Jenni at

I love the concept of this giveaway and they are such sweet little birds.

My most magical place was walking through a dark alleyway late at night upon first arriving in Brussells, Belgium to see the Grand Place lit with Christmas lights. There was the most enormous Christmas tree I have ever seen in the centre and a life size nativity with real animals. It was so beautiful – we cried. Coming from Australia where Christmas is in summer, the only thing which may have improved it would have been just a little snow.

the most magical place i’ve ever been was in a national or provincial park of some kind in killarney (or kilkenny?) ireland. i was 14, and my family was on vacation. we went horseback riding through the park, and at one point we came over a hill and the trees parted below us and there was a valley with a lake and everything was green and sparkling in the sun…it felt like tir na nog. =)

Magical? Probably San Fran. We loved it there. And, hubby and I were on our honeymoon, so I”m sure our attitudes helped.

Pretty birdies….love your taste Michael!! I have to say one of the most magical places I’ve been was on my own street!! It was one of the first years we lived here, during the annual Christmas holiday celebration. It was evening, we’d enjoyed a wonderful meal at the local cafe, visited Santa, chatted with neighbors on the street while we waited for a horsedrawn carriage ride around the town to see all the holiday lights. When we got up on the wagon and headed down our very own street all the stars were twinkling and it started to snow very lightly…..it was magical.

Those little birds are so SWEET! I’m just dying to go to Terrain, I couldn’t make ER there and it just about killed me. I wanted to go soooo bad! 😉

  • Shannon at

I literally was just at Terrain today so that’s topping my magical place list! You NEED to get there, totally worth the drive 🙂

    And I emailed you!

Those little silver birds are adorable. I love birds on a Christmas tree. I have a few, but no silver ones.

Sorry I forgot to say a magical place that i have been. I would have to say that our cottage that is on an island in Georgian Bay is a very magical place. It has different moods depending on the time of day and the weather and I love them all.

  • Rondee at

I LOVE birds! Ask anyone…right up my alley. But its a no go for me on Twitter.

i didn’t have to hesitate two seconds on this one. several years ago, my daughters took me on a trip through new england. i fell in love…with the coast of maine. i was sitting on a large boulder along the ocean, looking at a forest jutting out into a bay, and a sandy beach. all of my favorite things in one spot. i could have stayed there forever.

It was getting off the train from Paris to Berlin in 1999. It was my first time taking an overnight train. The experience was everything I thought from the interesting people on the train to the dramatic exit into a cold, misty morning at the Berlin train station. It still is one of the highlights of my college experience.

What a great giveaway – the birds are adorable!

The most magical place I’ve ever been is the Amalfi Coast of Italy – specifically Positano. The whole area pure magic!

  • Jaeyde at

if you want magical… Olympic National Park in Washington – one of very few temperate climate rainforests in the world.

The trees look like something right out of peter pan or the most fantastic fantasy novel you’ve ever read.

  • Dianah at

Ok I am going to be TOTALLY cliche but it is Disneyland at Christmas. It is amazing everytime I go. The only place it snows in Orange County, it is a complete wonderland. Magic!

I have 2 runners up though. First sitting on the steps at Jackson Square in New Orleans, soaking up sun, enjoying friends, having a cocktail, people watching and of course live jazz music in the background. Second is my uncle’s house at Christmas. It is straight out of a deocrator magazine. You can’t stop looking and finding something new.

These birds ARE magical! The magical place that comes to mind for me is a trip last summer that led me to Seattle– I woke up every morning to the sound of sea gulls on Elliott Bay!

My boyfriend and I just booked flights to PA for the holidays and are hoping to make it back up to St. Mary’s to visit family if the roads stay good! Can’t wait to see your place again!

There exists a place, called Jim Thorpe. The drive there alone, through the Poconos are worth the trip. It’s a charming small town, with Victorian architecture that gets entirely decked out in lights during the holiday season. Wonderful B&B’s, really great food, and all the stores are incredibly reasonably priced. Our favourite store is a used bookstore called Sellers but it’s also an art gallery because he displays his own artwork as well as local art. It breaths freshness into your soul being there as everyone is incredibly friendly as well! I am always dreaming of the next time I will get to be there.

Magical to me is my front porch swing on a warm summer day, a good book, a glass of iced tea and company of friends and family … magic …. make it happen where ever you are

The birds are so cute… I am with you on the Twitter … I really don’t get “it”… oh, well.

My husband and I backpacked in Glacier, Montana. We camped near a lake that was surrounded by enormous mountains. It was the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.
