holiday music. the lights. glitter (yes from now until january there will be glitter on the floor, my face, my cats, everywhere … occupational hazard). the food. the snow (until january 1st -ish, then it can go.) do you love the holidays too?

i have been working tirelessly to try and get the gift shoppe decked out. i was even up until midnight the other night! which, is quite late for me as i get up around 4:30 – 5AM.

so i’m really excited about a few things ‘going on’ in the blog world and wanted to share.

on monday, the lovely folks at freshly blended, announced their 5th annual holiday ornament swap. which just sounds so cool!

Inspired By Charm

you basically make 8-10 handmade ornaments, mail them out. and then you receive 8-10 handmade ornaments from various people. amazing, right!? so, i’m super excited about that. if you want to sign up, you can find the details here. just decide quickly because you need to enter by 11/7.

then, last night, amy from inspire co. posted the most amazing e-magazine that is literally packed with the coolest diy ideas for the holidays. i mean … seriously. i know i said before i’m not a fan of online magazines,  but i think i’m officially a convert. i guess the biggest reason i’m converted is because it gives people the opportunity to create something that otherwise may not have been possible. ya know?

anyway, go check it out here. there is seriously something for everyone … get ready for goosebumps.

and last, but certainly not least, the uber talented and creative kim over at newlywoodwards is havin’ a PARTY! and guess what? we are all invited. she’s so kind! it’s called ‘dare to do it yourself blog party’ and i believe it’s the 2nd annual (maybe more?).

the party extends over a six week period (that’s my kind of party!) with different challenges/dares over each week to create something (festive of course!). kim will share her favorites (you can check out some of last year’s here) and link up everything to meet new people and be completely inspired! (where this woman finds the time to do all she does is beyond me.) anyway, check it out. hope you can participate.

any other super amazing parties, swaps or magazines (yes i do know about holiday with matthew mead [already ordered my copy] and gifted – which btw is also super amazing) i should know about?

I just learned about the ornament exchange today; great ideas make their way around! Incidentally, in a former life my husband and I owned an inn. . .
