a big thank you

Uncategorized

i guess it’s been a while since i shared all the amazing fabric you all sent/brought to me. so first i have to apologize for not properly thanking you sooner. i’m so embarrassed. i really do appreciate every piece of material i’ve received and would be able to do this without all of you.

so here goes. and i do apologize in advance if i’ve mixed up any material or have forgotten anyone, please email me if i did and i will correct it asap!

the first two materials come from a friend of my moms (and i guess a friend of mine too). she knows how much i like ‘words’ and ‘phrases’ so this is perfect.

i’m loving the ginko leaf print on this fabric from rachael at mrs. adventure. the texture and feel of the fabric is amazing. i’m hoping i can use it in the quilt, but since a different type of material i’m not sure. but i will defiantly find some use for it! it’s beautiful.

rachael even included some extra goodies in her package. lucky me! homemade texas peach jam … amazing (and no, i won’t share … sorry) and two beautiful handmade pot holders. love them!

this bright floral beauty is from michelle at sweet something designs. i am a huge fan of her blog and her etsy shop is amazing. her floral creations are seriously breath taking and so inspiring. i love them.

“quilts are like love, they keep you warm” is how my friend karen finished her lovely note to me that accompanied these great fabrics. i especially like the pink and orange floral!

the next three pieces are from the lovely and amazingly talented alicia from posey get cozy. i’m so touched to have a ‘piece of her’ in this quilt as she’s the reason i decided to start blogging. if you haven’t seen/read her blog before, take a moment to check it out. the girl can tell a story and her photos are always incredible and sweet.

these two additional pieces may be a bit to small to use, but i’ll give it a shot!

emily from emily a la blog sent me these four gems. i’m lovin’ the little bumble bees and stripes! defiantly appropriate for a summer quilt!

these super cool triple-dyed pieces are from a guest, ellen, that stayed and the bed and breakfast. some look like fireworks, some like flowers. love them all!

the next two sets of fabric are from a wonderful woman who visits her mom in st. marys and always make a stop, sometimes two, in the gift shoppe! loving all the florals.

as i probably mentioned before, i love orange and green together, so i obviously love these!

and my most recent fabric come from jane in flordia. very cool, almost vintage and fun! i think the the teal polka dots are my favorite!

but i also love the one below with the little vintage scenes in primary colors!

Homemade peach jam! Yum. The crocheted pot holder is really great. I have to make myself a pair – there are so many fantastic vintage patterns around!

I found your blog today and I am in love with it! The other plus is I am a quilter and I am cleaning the sewing studio this weekend. Which means thank you for a new home for some of my fabric. Watch for a package next week!
