hey gals and guys. how was your weekend? it was sure busy around here … and this week is even busier!

over the weekend i had all intentions of cutting some squares for my quilt. i want to start figuring out what i have and what i need. so i went and purchased a copy of the online quilt pattern i’m going to use, but … since i used a e-check it take three business days. crap.

so, i didn’t get any cutting done. hopefully this week. i can’t wait to see how all the patches look together.

i am just tickled that people from other countries are sending me fabric! just love it! the piece above and below are from Anne Lise in norway. wow. love the colors in these. stop by her blog to see all her amazing projects … she quite the quilter!

this next piece is from karen in the uk. i honestly got goosebumps when i saw this fabric. it is stunning. oh my. karen, if you are reading this, please email me (or leave a comment) and tell me where you got this … i want need more! (i hope it’s available in the states … i hope it’s available in the states … i hope …) i think this fabric would make beautiful curtains. love it!!

this next fabric is from my grandma. well, sort of. although she doesn’t read my blog (first … because she doesn’t have a computer and second …. she probably doesn’t know what i a blog is) i still must include a contribution from her. my mom actually found it when she was cleaning out a cupboard at her house. its vintage and beautiful!

Inspired By Charm

the next two fabrics are from jennifer in maine. she is an innkeeper just like me! (yay for innkeepers!)

Inspired By Charm

and of course … i love them both. both are so happy. so summer-y. just what i was hoping for.  and i just love the grey and lime green. (lime green is my favorite color.)

Inspired By Charm

the next three are from my blogger friend katie in south carolina. i’ve been following her blog for quite some time now. she’s always up to something fun and creative!

Inspired By Charm

talk about cheery! this one takes the cake. although it has a bit of a texture to it, i still hope i can use it!

Inspired By Charm

doesn’t the one abve look like a painting from claude monet? and the one below is brown and lime-ish green. it didn’t really show well in the pic. but i love it!

Inspired By Charm

and a bowl fabric swatch of cherries from emily in washington. it doesn’t get more summer than floating cherries in a sea of blue. right? love it! emily’s blog is new to me … i always love finding new blogs!

Inspired By Charm

and more from emily … a pink rose print from a rachel ashwell sheet. i just love the way this one feels … and looks. so soft and pretty.

Inspired By Charm

and this fun print is from courtney (remember from friday) in california. adore the swirls. adore the greens. too perfect.

i was sooo happy to receive these next three pieces. they are from my amazing friend, allison who currently lives in north carolina. we went to college together and i haven’t seen her in three to four years. i’m so glad she can be a part of this.

Inspired By Charm

and she knows me well, so i love them all, of course. they remind me of good times. when i used to sneak in her dorm room when she was in the bathroom and jump out and scare her when she returned. (she’d scream of course.)

or our spring break in nyc where we saw multiple broadway shows (including wicked … twice) as we trudged around the city in coats, hats and mittens. (i have pictures, but not on this computer … darn it!)

we would laugh soo hard sometimes we couldn’t even breath. you know, the kind of laugh when you just can’t stop laughing. the kind of laugh that makes you cry. i haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. thanks deal … for everything.

and finally lots and lots of wonderful patch’s from the marks (sorry i don’t know your first name) in colorado. pretty pinks and browns.

Inspired By Charm

brilliant swirly spirals. this fabric is so fun!

and lots of other flowers, faded blue checks and red honeycombs. all unique and beautiful.

so again, thanks everyone. keep that fabric coming!

anne lise, karen, gram, jennifer, katie, emily, courtney, allison and the marks. thank you sooo much for all the beautiful fabric. i love them all and the stories you’ve shared. thank you. thank you!!

Hi Michael – I just came across your blog today – it’s wonderful! This quilt project you have going on is so fun. Oh my word – the fabric from Karen is amazing! I hope you find out what it is. I am planning on finding you some fabric from my stash and sending it your way. I will put a post up on my blog sometime this weekend.

Hey! I just made four flower girl dresses from the same fabric that Jennifer in Maine sent you (the first fabric, the little flowers). I’m also in Maine…and I know exactly where she got that fabric! Awesome store – Marden’s. It’s the best best best place to get fantastic 2.99 fabric.
