hey everyone! how’s the weather in your neck of the woods? the humidity is out of control here. but i’m not complaining. it’s better than shoveling snow … that’s for sure.
as promised … here are the amazing fabric pieces i received in the mail this week. and let me tell you, i’m getting pretty excited! the stuff you are sending me is amazing. it’s like you know me … like you’re in my head. crazy.
first up are three beautiful fabrics from my friend sharon at farmandfrufru.blogspot.com. remember her? she did a little post about my quilt last week? i feel sharon and i may be kindred spirits because i am totally loving this fabric. swoon.
this is from a guest (mary ellen) of mine who dropped it off in person. lucky me! it actually matched her purse perfect! too fun.
and denise from washington sent me these four beauties. love the dots. just love ’em. and the flower print. soooo amazing!
and this daisy pattern comes from rondee in idaho. this reminds me of summer on a farm. i don’t know why? it just does.
paisley is also another pattern of material that is very close to my heart. sooo many of my ties are paisley. just love it. this winner is from jenny in ontario canada.
and check out this amazing collection. wouldn’t this just make a really beautiful quilt. these are from karalee who is also from canada. she sent so many great fabrics. and the sweetest note. it meant so much to me.
while i love all the above ones (especially the one furthest to the right which has a pattern of hens in bonnets. amazing. just ah-mazing!) but this orange bandanna sort of pattern is my fav!
it screams summer!
and a historically beautiful collection from harriet (love the name) in ireland. yeah … you heard me right … ireland! and boy did she ever blow my pants off. she sent me six fabrics all labeled with their country of origin and a rough idea of there date. amazing. just amazing.
let looks at three of my favorites (even thought they all are!) love, love this floral. oh dear. if i could get my hands on some good yardage of this i’d be making curtains. it’s beauties. so many colors. the picture doesn’t do it justice. its from england circa 1980s.
and this one. ahhh … so delicate and beautiful. it’s french, circa 1940s.
and this beauty. oh my. it’s english and the date is unknown. but i don’t even care. it’s sooo beautiful. stellar.
oh, and a ginormous thank you to my friend over at city cottage shop for the sweetest little post about my bed and breakfast. thank you. thank you! you all need to check out her pumpkins. aren’t they the coolest. i’m hoping to get some for the gift shoppe!
